Ewww, you did a good job of making Gadaffi look disgustingly ugly. Which is a compliment. He IS that ugly.
Just because the Westerners are interfering doesn't mean you shouldn't respect the rebels. Think. If you were in their shoes, you might be tempted to ask for help from NATO.
I love the rebels. They're not pretentious or overly westernized. They are truly passionate about revolution, despite being endearingly disorganized. I don't agree with the intervention, and I think they could have won on their own, but I fully support them. I support the Arab Spring, and the series of revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria, and Yemen. Syria and Yemen haven't had any help from the west. Libya just happened to win the hearts of NATO...and then NATO got involved, and now the new regime will forever be haunted by the debt they owe to the west and the fact that someone else put them in power.
Sad, but better than the revolution being crushed altogether.

Honestly, the NTC rebels haven't yet won, and they definitely needed NATO's assistance since they were largely set-up by the NATO bloc countries' intelligence services. Qaddaffi is way more popular than you may have been led to believe.
Former U.S. Congressman Walter Fauntroy;
βContrary to what is being reported in the press, from what I heard and observed, more than 90 percent of the Libyan people love Gaddafi β¦ We believe the true mission of the attacks on Gaddafi is to prevent all efforts by African leaders to stop the recolonization of Africa.β

I like the poster, it's done well, but you just repeating the same BS that the lying media in the Western nations have kept spoonfeeding the public. It's nothing more than propaganda, most of it completely rubbish. I was spoonfed the same lies from the Western governments and their lackey media corporations all the way through high school and uni in Australia, it was nothing but lies. Wake up and stop falling for the BS all the time.

The only true reason behind these "humanistic" acts is gaining control of the oil.

You also fail to have a damn clue what's actually going on in Libya. Oh I'm sorry - because it's a middle eastern country and there is some form of American intervention, you assume it's the same as Iraq and Afghanistan, don't you?
Yet the situation is so different it's painful. The UAE, Qatar, and Arab League, as well as the UN are for the intervention in Libya - this was not the case in the past operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. You didn't really bother to look this up, did you? Do you realize that the Libyan people have been calling for international help? Because despite their bravery and strength and NUMBERS, Gaddafi has them outgunned.
I'm not crazy about the U.S. or Western Powers intervening in the middle east EITHER (And yes, I'm sure they have less-than pure motives going into it) - but honestly, this intervention is better than just sitting on the sidelines as Gaddafi kills THOUSANDS MORE. Plus was the UN supposed to just say "Oh sorry, no can do" after the Libyans were asking them for a No-Fly-Zone and some help against Gaddafi?
And you forget that there are LIBYAN AMERICANS who have family over there. Not to mention that, while America has sat on the sidelines in the past concerning genocide- if there was ANY reason for us to EVER intervene in an INTERNATIONAL effort to stop a dictator, I think THIS would be it.
Seriously, please get your info right next time.

You really think U.N. came there to HELP? That there can be any noble reasons in such a dirty business as politics? Or that Barack Obama has better reasons to kill Libyans than Gaddafi?
Libyan opposition called for help (and they don't even represent the WHOLE Libyan nation, given that a lot of them are now willing to die for their leader), and specifically underlined it that they DON'T WANT AN INTERVENTION. What they actually got was an INVASION. Even some of those who supported the coalition at first, now call its actions unjustified.

Aprilequinox In reply to Glamazone [2011-03-21 21:02:30 +0000 UTC]
You:"You really think (the) U.N. came there to HELP?"
I already answered it in MY first comment:
"I'm not crazy about the U.S. or Western Powers intervening in the middle east EITHER (And yes, I'm sure they have less-than pure motives going into it) - but honestly, this intervention is better than just sitting on the sidelines as Gaddafi kills THOUSANDS MORE."
You:"Libyan opposition called for help (and they don't even represent the WHOLE Libyan nation, given that a lot of them are now willing to die for their leader)."
Oooooh wow, you obviously have not been watching this for very long, have you? Gaddafi has been a nasty bastard for years. And it's a DAMN LARGE PART OF THE POPULATION that does not like Gaddafi. Why in the hell do you think the guy had to hire mercenaries?! His own military, including many of the generals were DEFECTING. And do you honestly think that there would be so much international resistance to Gaddafi if this guy wasn't really that terrible? And you think he has that many followers, huh? Do you mean the few civilians that actually follow him, or the people he's been forced in being his human shields around his strongholds?
You:"...and specifically underlined it that they DON'T WANT AN INTERVENTION. What they actually got was an INVASION. Even some of those who supported the coalition at first, now call its actions unjustified."
That first sentence - honey, a No-Fly-Zone IS an intervention - there are a million vids and sources that can tell you that the Libyans wanted an intervention. Also, and INVASION requires ground-troops and occupational forces - neither of which are happening.
And yeah there are a few dissidents here and there -and most of them are Gaddafi and his allies.
This guy has been committing human rights violations for years, and LET'S NOT FORGET that as soon as a lot of people started peaceful protests, he started shooting them to bits. Have you heard him talk? He wants them all DEAD. Thousands, maybe even MILLIONS will die if he's not stopped. This guy has even buried the bodies his mercs left behind in the streets - and then lied about it. Seriously, do you even know what you're saying?!
You know what:

I never said they did - I said it was a necessity to prevent Gaddafi from killing more of his own people. I don't believe they have pure motives, but I believe it was better for the lives of the Libyan people than just doing nothing. That's all.
