well they have many significances throughout time...when I went I took pics of all the henges...you can feel the powers when you first step on the plain. And to touch the rocks is purely....

this is a wonderful picture of Stonehenge. Oh, man, I wish I would be able to go to England....all we have in Texas is...well, if you travel south far enough, you get to see some Aztec pyramids, I guess. But nothing as awesome as Stonehenge.
Anyways, great shot, I especially like how the details on the rock show up in this picture....and how the grass is so...incredibly green....yeah.
