They are members of a secret global organization known as the Technological Consortium, which has been safeguarding Humanity from various magical, supernatural and technological threats for centuries.

THE FAN-SERIES
I am in the process of writing a road-map and world building for a fan-fiction series of Equestria Girls. Basically, I am writing it like a television series which acts as a sequel to where the original left off, made-up of 2 series', comprised of 5 seasons each, and each season consisting of at least 26 episodes, with a movie serving as the finale. It will be written in the style and tone of the actual show. It's basically what I would do if I was the writer for the actual Equestria Girls series. I do not actually plan on writing full episodes, as that would take too much time and effort, but I may produce a few scripts for some episodes. Instead I write my fan-series in an episodic, synopsis style which details events.

DOCTOR TIME TURNER WHOOVES

BACKSTORY
Doctor Time Turner Whooves is a young adult in their early-mid twenties and an acknowledged rising star in the scientific community, being top graduate at Crystal Prep Academy and having all ready received multiple doctorates at Tambelon University, he was well prepared for a life of scientific endeavour. He is well known for his keen intellect, intriguing theories and inventions, and is currently looking to patent several of them.

PERSONALITY
Doctor Time Turner Whooves is extremely friendly and charming, if a little erratic and absent minded, with a fast moving and drifting mind, bouncing from topic to topic, sometimes abandoning the first before it's conclusion as he gets distracted by a question or a new thought. He is possessed of an endless optimism and hope for the future, and is admired greatly by Human Twilight Sparkle for these traits along with his great intellect and pioneering of new science and technology. His rise to fame gives her hope that she can be as famous and successful as him some day, perhaps soon.

IN THE FAN-SERIES
Doctor Whooves will be making his first appearance early in season 1, in an episode focusing on him. He's first seen on the news regarding how he will be attending the International Science and Technology Convention that year, which Human Twilight Sparkle convinces the rest of the Rainbooms to attend with her, and even extends an invitation to Princess Twilight, whom attends along with her guest, Starlight Glimmer from Equestria. The first episode I planned for him would revolve around this event and how mysterious Men in Black begin taking an interest in his inventions and asking him strange questions. Later in the series he is approached by Filthy Rich who offers to help him patent his latest inventions.

Episodes about him will focus on his inventions and discoveries, the Rainbooms helping him handle some kind of problem caused by his latest experiment, one of his inventions falling into the wrong hands, or the attempts by the Technological Consortium to recruit him. Eventually he does join the Consortium when Filthy Rich succeeds in helping him patent and distribute some of his inventions.

He will become well known later in the story for his exploration of temporal mechanics, and will discover an alternate dimension known as the quantum-realm, a dimension which exists parallel to the physical realm where time moves at a different rate relative to the physical plane. Although not new to the Technological Consortium, who had discovered and explored this realm extensively long ago, that he could discover this place on his own is an impressive feat.

FILTHY RICH

BACKSTORY
Filthy Rich is the CEO of a powerful Mega-corporation - the imaginatively named "Rich-Corporation", which began as a simple retail store in his late teens, before major success allowed Filthy Rich to hire more workers, expand operations, open additional stores, buyout competition and branch out into other fields, including Agriculture, Food and Beverages, Entertainment and Services, Electronics, Property Ownership, Science and Technology, and even has it's own Law Firm in it's impressive portfolio after acquiring it in a buyout, which was owned and run by his now Wife - Spoiled Rotten, who continues to run that Law Firm herself.

Filthy Rich's entry into, and huge success in, the fields of Science and Technology eventually caught the attention of the Technological Consortium, who began outsourcing some of it's projects to the Rich-Corporation before eventually inviting Filthy Rich himself to join them. Rich-Corp. now enjoys a symbiotic relationship with the secretive and influential organization and a huge degree of protection and intelligence in matters of science, technology, politics, economy and society, which Filthy Rich exploits as best he can.

He is considered a somewhat high ranking member of the Consortium due to his companies contributions and his business acumen, and is currently trying to purchase ownership of certain plots of land that are not yet owned by the Consortium in the area of Everfree Forest, a recent hotbed of supernatural and paranormal activity which the Consortium wishes to gain control of.

There are many divisions, factions and sub-factions within the Technological Consortium, and Filthy Rich is a member of the "Acquisitions and Resources" division, and further, a member of the faction "The Board of Directors" who are a cabal of business and political leaders who seek to expand the level of control of the Technological Consortium through business and politics.

PERSONALITY
The Human version of Filthy Rich is more cunning, devious and opportunistic than his Equestrian counterpart, on account of him being raised in a radically different and more economically competitive society. He's not a bad person, he's just got a mega-corporation to run, as well as responsibilities to the secret organization he is a member of, meaning he has to be a bit more ruthless and aggressive than his Equestrian counterpart to succeed in the Human world.

Although he can sometimes be smug and give off an aura of intimidation due to his success and power, he is quite friendly towards most people, knowing the value of maintaining a positive public image, and is extremely loving and caring towards his Wife and Daughter - Spoiled Rotten, Diamond Tiara, and unique to the Human world, his Son - Berry Rich. He does often spoil them, however, and although putting forward a strong, commanding and in-control demeanour, is extremely weak when dealing with his family, and usually caves in to their requests and demands almost instantly.

IN THE FAN-SERIES
For Filthy Rich I was going to go with something a bit different from his Equestrian counterpart, as I want to promote the concept that there are differences and contrasts between the two worlds and the characters in them, sometimes subtle, sometimes major. Environmental factors are going to play a major part in how the characters developed in their respective worlds. For instance, Filthy Rich is somewhat more antagonistic and devious than his Equestrian counterpart, having been shaped by the more technologically advanced and capitalistic Human culture he was born and raised in compared to Equestria.

Although not really evil, or even malicious, he does have a successful mega corporation to run, and as such he places a great deal of importance in it's success, which can put him at odds with the Rainbooms and their Friends, and is indeed the focus of a number of the episodes he is the driving force behind. His episodes mainly focus around him and his corporation doing something that somehow puts him at odds with the Rainbooms or someone the Rainbooms are trying to help, like trying to acquire land or a business or developing land that somehow provokes a supernatural being into causing trouble.

DARING DO

Daring Do was a graduate at Crystal Pre Academy, specializing in athletics and topics such as history, geography, ecology, and other similar fields, all intended to help her full-fill her childhood dream of becoming a world-famous adventurer. She would, of course, succeed, putting together a small team and finding her first lost historical artefact, at which point she began to receive offers from investors who wished to help fund and promote her endeavours and commissioners who wished to hire her for her expertise. She would reach celebrity status when, during one of her expeditions, she successfully thwarted the plans of the infamous Super-Villain - Dr. Ahuizotl, when the two ended up going after the same lost relic. It was at this point that she was approached by the Technological Consortium for membership, who it would be revealed were one of her main investors and commissioners for her expeditions.

PERSONALITY
Daring Do is confident and forthcoming, and always has time to spend with fans, revelling in her celebrity status. She is well know for hosting major parties to celebrate her acquisition of a new ancient artefact or some great historical discovery.

IN THE FAN-SERIES
Daring Do is one of the Technological Consortium's most successful and potent operatives, known throughout the world as an explorer and adventurer, as well as one of the most renowned Martial-Artists in the world. With the advanced gadgets she is provided with, she is a specialist in finding and exploring ancient ruins, acquiring artefacts, discovering forgotten lore, bringing in dangerous Super Villains and thwarting the machinations of the global criminal organization - RELIC, and it's nefarious Leader Dr. Ahuizotl, and his quest to retrieve all artefacts "stolen" by Mankind and to return them to their rightful places, to push modern society out of "sacred lands" and to punish the decadent modern folk for their destructive and wasteful ways.

Daring Do is a world famous celebrity explorer and adventurer, and author of several books detailing her thrilling exploits across the world. Her connection to a mysterious secret organization has been rumoured, but never confirmed, but she does indeed work for the Technological Consortium, and her celebrity status and world renown has aided the Consortium several times in pushing it's political and social agendas when she could be convinced to openly express her support for them.

Her episodes would usually focus around the Rainbooms encountering her on one of their own expeditions into some supernatural or paranormal mystery, or tagging along on one of her adventures, and sometimes the Rainbooms would fall within the sights of Dr. Ahuizotl, resulting in the inevitable appearance of Daring Do to the rescue.

THE TECHNOLOGICAL CONSORTIUM
The primary recurring antagonists of Series 1, turned Allies in series 2, with a strong presence in every season. The Technological Consortium, or just "The Consortium" for short, is a secret global organization which runs most of what goes on in the world from behind the scenes. They investigate, hunt, and police the mystical and supernatural elements of the world, but they also deal with other threats like Rogue Scientists, AI's, Super Villains, Aliens, dangerous technology and other dangerous elements and natural or unnatural, disasters. Think of the Consortium as a combination of The Men in Black, the SCP Foundation and the Technocratic Union from Mage: The Ascension. Members are often referred to as "Techs" by outsiders, such as the Rainbooms.

The Technological Consortium is lead by it's supreme and enigmatic leader, from a position known as "The Supreme Scientist", who is said to always be the most intelligent and wise Person of their time.

In my series, the Consortium will frequently be at odds with the Rainbooms and Equestria, who they see as rogue elements and potential threats. The Consortium has been watching the Rainbooms for quite some time, and have been assisting them from behind the scenes in hopes that the Equestrian problem will resolve itself, while taking steps to perform damage control or commit resources to backup plans should the Rainbooms fail. For example, they were prepared to step in during the initial Sunset Shimmer and Midnight Sparkle incidents before those things resolved themselves. Sometimes their assistance was absolutely necessary, such as during the Sirens incident, where they sent one of their young operatives, Vinyl Scratch, to free the Rainbooms and provide them with aid against The Dazzlings. Did you think Vinyl Scratch just so happened to show up with a giant transforming sound-stage equipped car...?
