Mostly that he's a useless character for his debut, and I hate his hair.
If he actually did something besides being a useless love interest, cut out the love interest thing altogether, and maybe style his hair to look like Chrom's hair (as shown below) I might start to warm up to him. That's starting to happen anyway, but only because I like seeing the crap kicked out of him and having him be turned into a chew toy so bad that Shinji Ikari would be glad he's not that guy.
