Description Lately I have been attempting to remake chess globe , the previous version was again corrupted. I am not by nature a superstitious person; by I'm convinced that work is cursed. At on every attempt I am plagued by every imaginable error and whole bunch of new ones as well. It’s almost done (hopefully) but it’s getting on my nerves so as a diversion I made up this from some of the pieces in it.

Made in Maya
Rendered in Mental Ray

I would very much like to add this set to my collection.
The pieces are so very original and would be fun to look at and touch while playing.
Great work on these.

Very interesting models, I really like this new style. There's something about these pieces that really catches my eyes' attention. I love how you've deviated from the normal chess style and yet, have kept close enough to it to keep the pieces recognizable.

One thing though, I really like your works but I am not so sure about this watermarking thing, it really messes up the quality of the colors and makes the scene look as though there was something wrong with the render engine.

I see what you mean, the watermark adds edcrease conrast a bit and adds a slight grain. But it'll have to do untill I find something better. Thanks for pointing it out.

Those are some fine models... they would make for a really unique chess set. I like the knights in particular.

Mosty ajusting the colour, it came out of the render alot more yellow plus I enhanced a few of the shadows. I also put in a signiture, email and a watermark.

I think they were refering to the post (as in after - the opposite of pre) processing on the image... not processing a post on the site...

err yea, in order to put those water marks in, you have to edit it after rendinging the 3d in a 2d program, hence making it post editing the picture in some way, prior to posting on the site

I know that, but it seems the guy I replied to thought that the perrson he replied to meant processing the comment post or something equally stupid :/

what processing a comment post?

"if your using internet explorer, press ctrl+a
thats some nice post processing"

i didnt say anything about processing a comment,
in internet explorer, when you highlight a picture (or ctrl+a to highlight everything including the picture) internet explorer puts a layer of half transparent pixels in a checkers board like manner, if you edit your picture to have the same matrixed pixel but have selected pixels offset to the one already layed on, you can see a water mark.
heres a tutorial on it [link]

now the reason i called this post editing, is because it is infact, editing after the final render
