Description A Distant Figure by has been one of my favorite pieces on deviantArt for a long time. I know it's been done before, but it was just too beautiful to ignore.

I started drawing this back in October of 2007, and it's the only serious drawing I've worked on in that time. I'm glad I actually finished it, I have a relatively short attention span. I think it's obvious where I got frustrated and gave up, but I'm not going to change anything about it now. I'm on to other projects like it, though.

gotta love the photographers on DEV-art! I have done a fair few of my portraits based on some of the amazing photography around here. Mind numbing really!

Oh yeah, there are some really talented artists here on dA! It's great to do tribute art, but I think I'm going to start doing portraits of people I know. More sentimental value and all.

This is super fantastical work. The attention to detail is amazing and the way you've managed to show most of the emotion in the single eye is so fabulous! Even though it is supposed to be a sad figure, I can't help but to notice how beautiful-making it truly is. Great Drawing.
