this is actually just a rough of what i'm planning on making a larger version to put over my bed. i put a lot of thought into this one, about the longest i've worked on a single sketch outside of school. the Tower itself needs work, but i was just working on the basic layout on this one. i used a lot of what i've been learning in my Art History class:Pyramidal Composition
Atmospheric Perspective
One Point perspective
in the final one, the arch will be more over their heads, kind of symbolize holiness and whatnot.
this step took about 5 hours in two days, and a TON of calculating and precision measuring for the perspective. i really want this to come out perfect.
all done in graphite, the final will be done in charcoal
google images used as refs.

I'd redo it on a larger scale so you can leave a lot of open space round the tower
The bench is real good, but i would keep the couple more like a silhouette too

yeah, that's what i was planning on doing. i want to hang it over my bed in the dorm, so i'd be doing it on an 18"x24". but i need to practice drawing the Eiffel Tower before i do that, the proportions on this one are all off.

thank you, i was really going for a strong Composition on this one. it should look even better when i finish it this summer.

it's "supposed" to be the Eiffel Tower, and it will look more like it in the final version, this was a failed attempt at accuracy using proportions. i probably need a protractor to get the angles right on the base.

Nah, Blackpool Tower was a copy of the Eiffel Tower. We built it to show the French how it should've been done.
