Another day, another Character Select Portrait. Expect longer, simpler art as I recover from my Vitamin D issue until it's at acceptable, more balanced intake.

This time we have one of the two main Protagonists, Nu-13...Rebellion of Silver's female lead protagonist. Part of the story of Rebellion of Silver's focus is the relationship between Nu-13 and Silver. While it is not a love relationship, Nu and Silver's growing friendship prior to the story's start is a prevalent factor in saving Nu very early into the Terumi Returns arc and explained when going through both hers and Silver's character stories in all four story arcs.

Her personality remains almost completely faithful from her series of origin, BlazBlue. She's still got that crazy side to her and addresses herself in third person. But flashbacks in Nu's story mode campaigns will reveal that after Ragna gave up his own existence to free everyone from a world dictated by Possibilities caused by the Master Unit, Nu couldn't bare the thought of losing him at first. But she did eventually come to terms with his fate, and - unbeknownst to her - being freed from the threads of possibility slowly killed the Black Beast inside her over time...and she eventually became a regular Prime Field Device as a result. With this acceptance came a much calmer and joyful side, and it's Silver's belief that she may be trying to live her life to the fullest in order to respect Ragna's sacrifice...as difficult as it is now with the planet completely unrecognizable to her.

If you've seen gameplay for Nu-13 in BlazBlue, she's pretty much almost completely identical in inputs. If not, just look up her move list. With the exception of a drastic makeover to her playstyle. Nu's unique ability in Rebellion of Silver is changing between her normal form and her Prime Field Device form, which is shared with Lambda-11. Where she differs from Lambda with this is that Nu becomes more up close and personal while untransformed. But if you're familiar with Continuum Shift II's broken iteration of Stylish Mode, this is pretty much the only way to experience Stylish Mode combos.

Nu sacrifices input specials, Drive attack access, her magnet and gravity field deployment, 50% meter supers and her 100% meter finisher in her normal form in exchange for fast, hard-hittiing combos involving using her deactivated Nox Nyctores as a sword swung with ease despite its weight. You essentially sacrifice her usual playstyle for more power. However, she is more prone to damage and easier for the AI to predict while untransformed as she only has four different massive combos to perform that can also be cancelled into each other. So you need to consistently change her forms every so often each round so you can't get read by the AI. Especially since she was very popular for projectile spam in BlazBlue. This is a way to mitigate that problem completely.

In Rebellion of Silver, Nu-13 has the following stages associated with her specifically:

- Grave of the Grim Reaper (Sector 7 Saga)
- Secluded Hillside (Continuum Paradox)
- Secluded Hillside ~ Blossoms (Weaving Fate)

Nu-13 has special character interactions with Silver, Sonic, Sally, Hakumen, Yüki Terumi, Dark Susano'o Terumi (Terumi's Boss form), Relius Clover, Kokonoe, Solaris, Azure Knight, Lambda-11, Alpha-01 and Beast-Possessed Silver. (Silver's Boss form) Her psychotic side comes out around the main antagonists, most likely due to considering it attempts at undoing Ragna's sacrifice to everyone and not wanting to go back to being a discardable, deadpan, cold-blooded murderer used for somebody else's benefit. For some reason, Nu feels something familiar about Azure Knight. She behaves quite calm around Silver when not in her Unlimited playstyle form (The form Silver fights in his final campaign chapter in the Terumi Returns arc as a sub-boss; only uses her original playstyle from BlazBlue and locks her in her Prime Field Device form), which is fully psychotic due to Relius tampering with her to fully confuse Silver as Ragna...even down to her hearing frequencies, visual sensors, and undoing the progress she made being past her impulsive psychosis from Ragna's sacrifice by seemingly wiping her memories clean enough to never betray Terumi's orders.
