Description Cauldrones are metal, golem-like creatures that are used by a mysterious witch, one that people have not seen for years. Standing tall as a man, these formidable creatures have an intimidating appearance, looking like they can smash through stone walls and crush opponents. But such violence is not their true purpose, as Cauldrones are actually collectors. The palms of their hands and bottoms of their pillar-like feet can open up to suck in fluids and small objects. The force of the suction is enough to pull in even the thickest of fluids, and their foot holes can leech away all nutrients from the surrounding earth in a matter of seconds. Absorbed fluids, nutrients and energy is then instantly separated and stored in individual, glass bubbles that cover the arms and chest of the Cauldrone. Once full, the Cauldrone will leave and return to the witch's lair, dumping its load and heading back out for more. A Cauldrone may be "programmed" to seek a specific ingredient for the witch's brew, or may be sent out to collect anything and everything it can find. But that is not the extent of their use. The opening on their back is actually a portable cauldron of its own. The cauldron is always filled with some strange, bubbling liquid, sloshing about as it moves. The bubbles and tubes within the Cauldrone are all linked to the cauldron, which it uses to brew its own spells. Cauldrones all have knowledge of basic potion and magic brewing, which they use on their own free will. When brewing, it pulls from its store of ingredients and feeds them into its back cauldron. With some body movements, it stirs the brew and unleashes whatever spell or creation it has made up. One can tell when a Cauldrone is brewing, as the glass orbs it uses will briefly glow when being used, giving off a brief light show before it strikes. When the liquid boils and bursts, that is a sign to get away.

Though made for ingredient gathering and potion making, Cauldrones are not pushovers. When threatened or being denied certain ingredients, a Cauldrone will attack. Physically, it is very strong, able to smash through wooden homes with a sweep of its arms. Its sharp claws will make short work of unarmored foes, and the special draining veins within the claws can suck a person dry in seconds. Being made of metal, it is extremely heavy, and it uses its bulk to smash through barricades and stomp on opponents. Its slow speeds though make it easy to dodge and flee from, but it uses its cauldron to make up for that. Using its variety of ingredients, a Cauldrone can brew elemental pulses to clear away crowding foes, lob gobs of explosive energy, spew waves of sticky or acidic goo or even create temporary minions. This can be devastating, but the Cauldrone is running on a limited supply. Once it uses all its ingredients, it can no longer cast spells. It will then either have to replenish or use its brute force to win the day. The holes in their hand can also be used to spew out single ingredients, especially if it is a caustic or acidic one, on foes. These suction holes can even be used to absorb magic attacks if the Cauldrone is quick enough. Cauldrones are not invincible though. Their slow speeds make them easy to dodge and avoid. Their limited supply of ingredients allow them to run out of magic attacks. And if the cauldron is emptied, be it by tipping over the heavy entity, the Cauldrone will power down until it can refill the back with its store. Battles between Cauldrones are not very common, as there are not many of them. But when a Cauldrone is in the area, violence is sure to arrive. Villages don't appreciate having Cauldrones suck their land dry, or have them smashing through town looking for ingredients.

When a Cauldrone is in a very dire situation, it can commit a suicidal attack of epic proportions. This is a last resort measure. It will purge its entire system into the cauldron, causing an overload that usually ends with a massive magic explosion. Take note that if a Cauldrone has its systems depleted enough, it will not be able to perform this move.

Some other witches and wizards have their own Cauldrones, but they usually only have one. And those are ones stolen and reprogrammed from the one witch's personal hoard.

No one is really sure what the witch is doing with all these ingredients. Some say she is looking to perform the ultimate spell, while some theorize that she is dead, and the Cauldrones are merely fulfilling her last orders.
