*Ancient*Rough sketch of a sentinel pulling an APU's pilot out of his harness, none too gently I may add, looks like this poor sod isn't getting plugged into the Matrix when this is done, lol. Based on the Animatrix's Second Renaissance.

Yeah. As this illustration shows, even the APUs were but helpless victims against the sentinels. Needless to say that unlucky pilot in the cockpit is being dismembered in one of the most gruesome ways imaginable.

Well maybe the machines had EMP bunkers and were made up of a more stonger material that protected them from the heat.

Perhaps. The sky is the limit since a concrete explaination is not given on how they survived a nuclear bombardment of that scale, only that the narrator mentions that the radiation and heat did not affect them much, if at all.

Nice to bad it (animatrix)sucked along with the last two films not to mention heat and radiation produce EMP wave which will fry every piece of electronic equipment no matter how much dense metal ie lead covers it hell in training this was stressed more then anything else when it came down to navigation.
