Description Due to the overpowered effects of Ichor, the godly fluid is toxic to all living beings. Those who ingest this liquid or are exposed to it will gain godly strength that the mortal body cannot endure. Bones will shatter and tendons will snap as the overloaded body rips itself to pieces in it fights to contain such power. With such deadly effects, no organic being will ever dare to use it on themselves, but that does not mean they do not use it. While toxic to living things, Ichor can be used with machinery and inorganic devices. The strength and energy it is imbued with can be safely used by such machines, as they do not possess fragile flesh and blood. While Black Bile is primarily used to run vehicles and transports, a small bit of Ichor added to the system can supercharge the entire device. Those who have ever ridden on a Crawler Train will have felt the effects Ichor has on such machines, as the handlers release the Ichor holds and the train rips through the wilds at blinding speeds. While small amounts of Ichor can give a powerful boost to vehicles, there have been some other applications people have looked into.

Everyone knows the life-giving origins of Ichor, as it was the fluid that split to make the Four Humors. Such stories have led to others wondering if they could use Ichor to fuel the creation of life of their own making. While organic life is impossible to create with Ichor in mortal equipment, there has been success with automatons. These robotic entities run entirely on the golden fluid, using its powers to give them incredible strength, resilience and endurance. When compared to a Golem created with Black Bile, Ichor Automatons blow them out of the fluid each time. With such results, many leaders and generals became interested in using such robots for military purposes. An army of these soldiers would be a force to be reckoned with, but further studies soon found that such a vision would never be achieved. It turns out that Ichor Automatons require large amounts of the golden fluid to operate, consuming the liquid rapidly as they work and fight. While Ichor is extremely powerful, it is also quite rare. The amount needed to run such a machine for long periods of time is extremely expensive, and that is only for one soldier. While Golems are weaker than the automatons, Black Bile is readily available in vast quantities and the units do not burn through the fluid nearly as fast. With that, the Ichor Automaton project was shelved, as no one could justify the cost it took to run one. Turns out that governments did not like having soldiers who pretty much ran on burning money.

Though major research and production of Ichor Automatons has been halted, that does not mean they are extinct. Those with deep pockets and bloated coffers have found use with such expensive beings. When taken out of a battlefield setting, a single Ichor Automaton can fill many different roles with ease. Security, hired muscle and demolition are just a few things rich folk have used these robots for, and that is just naming some of the legal ones. Criminal organizations have found these entities useful for busting though vaults and defenses, or shaking down victims for protection money. The fact that these machines can best Golems is another tempting thing for such criminals, as that means they can trounce the Golems enforcers use during raids and take downs. Such uses have given Ichor Automatons a bad image, as many are quick to leave the area when one shows up. Though they carry the fluid of the Gods, they often work for the Devils.

Speaking of darker roles, it appears that our heroines have run across one of these nasty machines. Though made of intricate pieces and mechanisms, these automatons prefer simpler routes. Grabbing some Zombie scientist and punching her face in is an easy enough solution, as long as that fusion doesn't get in the way. Funny enough, one of the beings inside that fusion is a Golem. Wonder if she has any grudge against these god-driven machine?

Just goofing around with designs in the world of Fall of Ichor. Added in Heidi and Magdalene for fun, though I can't imagine Heidi finds such a scenario "fun."

Brains beat muscle.
And:
One thing is raw strength, something else is endurance, knowing that these automatons burn out relatively quickly...

Brains may beat brawn, but that is not a comforting thought when a fist is readying itself to pound your face in. Their fuel consumption is indeed an exploitable weakness, as you can avoid its rampage long enough for it to burn out. You have to keep clear of those fists first, though, and also have to make sure no one refills that thing.

A better example that a lot of power will screw you if the conditions are met:
Batteries, these things pack a punch, and if handled improperly they will ruin your day. If you perforate the electrolytes, it will short circuit, overheat go into thermal runaway and burst into ravenous flames. Water will make it worse.

A good strategy, but one best used when you are a safe distance away from the blast/burning radius.

So get your fists ready to pound anyone who tries to refill it.
Another weakness is its raw power, any failure can cause it to blow up, take explosives as an example, the more energy you pack into the molecular bonds, the more powerful the explosive is, but it also makes it unstable, that's because the atoms want to rearrange themselves to the lowest energy possible. Let's start with nitrogen, it prefers to be under the form of N2 which is rather stable and you need energy to separate them, because of that, other forms are less stable, but if they are bound to larger molecules, they are friendly, like azidothymidine, a drug, the problem is when you get a higher nitrogen percentage and a smaller molecule, that's when things go south, take 1-diazidocarbamoyl-5-azidotetrazole (C2N14) as an example, remember the energy to separate N2? That is going to come back. And it will do so if you...that thing doesn't wants to exist.

The easiest way to make the Ichor fuel explode would be to expose it to Alkahest. Those two godly fluids cannot interact with each other without violently exploding. The only issue would be getting your hands on the stuff, finding a way to even handle it, and then trying to force it through the automaton's thick armor. Achieve that, and that machine will be nothing but smoke and flying hunks of shrapnel.
