Well here it is folks...fully colored and ready for action. This is my design idea for the Biblical Archangel Michael. I'm entering this work into an art contest at my college and hopefully it will be worth all the effort I put into finishing it this week.This guy was colored using photoshop, and it took roughly 12 or so hours to complete (alot of that time was spent backtracking and recoloring stuff that I didn't like). I hope you guys like it as much as I do, I had fun working on this guy.

I mean, it would obviously have to be simplified, otherwise it'd have to a huge shoulder to shoulder deal to get the detail. But I like the spacing and position.

thx very much. Indeed, I thought that just plain white wings are far overdone and frankly boring for an angel. God created so many beautiful varieties of colors and patterns in bird wings, why would angels, some of his most prized creations, not have similarly elegant designs. If anything I should have been more exotic, and I probably will be next time. As for the sword, that was fun to create, and took a while to come together. It started with the idea of the hilt being made of wings and went from there.

I know I'm really late and you surely know the results of the competition allready, but damn. I can't see a way you could be beaten. that's truely outstanding O____O you really did that wonderful lineart justice.

As for the competition, there were alot of good works besides mine, and mine didn't print all that well so it didn't help me very much. Despite that I did manage to get honorable mention, so I'm satisfied

guess that depends on what you mean. If your implying some dirty joke then shame on you. Otherwise, yea I had fun thinking up the design and spending the time creating it in photoshop
