there is definitely a great change between your last work and this one.You can also add the shadow of that hill on the right handside.
I also liked the overall atmosphere of the planet, you can feel the warmth of the sun and the heat on the surface/desert.I liked the colors.
You might also start to add some details with a hard edged brush on the point where you want us to focus on.

I was a little bored drawing characters 
I tried to have diffrent detail levels as you told me, working with different zoom levels (i made in2/3 hours which is very quick for me! 
I have updated the drawing, adding the shadow on the right.

It is really nice. Good work. A thing you might need to keep an eye on is shadowing. Not that it is bad, it just might be one of your weaker points.

Wow, I am impressed!!! this is quite a drastic change in technique and style. The depth and dynamic work great. Maybe you could just pay more attention to the source of light and the perspective for the drop shadow... but it's a very good piece overall. I think you should definitely keep working in that direction!!
