Hell yes I drew a mermaid. This ain't no disney shit, neither.Drawn while listening to D12, Eminem and some Venetian Snares thrown in for colour. Needed to kill time.
Does it need a background, guys? I couldn't decide.

EEUEUUEGHG i really like her designnn. ;u; mermaids like this will never fail to fascinate me. i love her fins, and the outside-gills just look awesome. and her teeth are so snaggly and she's just so ugly she's adorable. cB i also really really love the patterns on her skin, oh my goodness. with how she's built she looks like she's some sort of super fast predator. she has very nice coloration on her and my gosh, i just love how she's more fish than human; it's a nice 'weird deep sea monster' turn on the usual bikini model pretty lady mermaid that i don't really like (unless of course their beauty is used to viciously entrap stupid lusty sailors and eat them. the crafty bitches). :'D
all in all i just WOW REALLY LIKE THIS, well done ;u;

Haha, well thanks! I liked the idea of a mermaid that was more fish than woman. I gave her the long skinny teeth and the spines because it reminded me of an angler fish or a lion fish.

Thanks, man. I think a gradient would be a good start, you're right. Maybe with some rock formations in the back. I'm not sure yet if I want it to be deep-sea or more like the edge of a Florida cove.
