ANNNNNND...here's the aftermath of taking too many jabs to the face. And yes, if anyone is asking, this plot point was swiped from Hajime no Ippo.
But...oh man...I really should have redone Cathy in that first panel. And I still don't know if I got across that half of Missy's vision is blurring in those middle two panels.
Now, that third panel I just couldn't get right, as I tried to use a totally different image of Missy's glove by recoloring a different glove, trying to show how things are just off and how quickly Missy's vision has been impaired.
And next time...I really got to do something about that linework on the big splash of Missy.
And , Missy belongs to you but is going to get owned by Cathy!

This is a nice series. I LOVE the way the coach decides that she might as well not be there...so goes for a beer. Made me smile for sure.
Missy may be banged up, but that doesn't mean she's going to win; all it takes is one good punch to flatten somone.

And Missy does look rather banged up, but she's got history of getting banged up during matches (had to watch my words there) and always makes a comeback despite it.

Where can I see more of Missy in action? The ongoing comic you've got here is nice; can't wait for more.
(That mismatch line art..YIPES! I've seen mismatches before, but I'd wince at seeing one like that, unless Missy gets a LOT better at blocking and slipping.

Missy's creator is around on DA so make sure to say hi and mention how much you like Missy.
As for the whole slipping and blocking thing, the comic here kind of overdoes it a bit for both Cathy and Missy here since I wanted this kind of akin to more of a fictional streetfight where most of the time, the fighter's jaws is their guard.

The comic is finished, is just has to be inked and colored by me fighting off work and dry spells.
But I should have an update soon, not that I've been good at any promises lately.

Would a "double-vision" effect work?

I'm actually not to sure if a double-vision would do what I want, which was a full vision being ebbed away.
It probably would have worked better then what I did here.
