Description
And so page 3. The silouette of Martina on the first panel works for me, the silouette of Cathy in the 2nd doesn't. I'm thinking I was just too lazy to color Cathy's hair so I blacked it out instead.Panel 1: Cathy here is looking at pictures as posted by Miho Miyazaki (owner of the gym and Missy's trainer) of fighter's that the members of the gym should look out for in the future. All the taped up pictures were drawn by Yama (except for one blue haired girl). Cathy was a little shocked to see that yes, there is an picture of her taped to the wall. I'll post this pic in the scraps area here: ([link] )
Panel 2: Okay...sharp enough jaw I gave to Martina there, which is odd as I try to usually give her a strong jaw. Oh! And Missy's jacket is a quick shout out to Missy's first ever comic appearance where she ended up taking a cop named Sandy's jacket.
Panel 3: But here it is, the first meeting between the two, and yeah, first impressions at all that. Missy looks like she's missing a chunk of her head and I have no clue why I though drawing Cathy with a visible cheekbone was a good idea.
Panel 4: The two greet each other. This was purposely done in a simpler, more cartoony style. I was trying to maybe show they were putting on a kind of false front to not let the other know what they're thinking.
Missy and Martina belong to , so please, please, don't try the brown acid.

I understand what's done is done, but I would have personally split the 3rd panel into 2 smaller ones. That why there is more focus on the two individual's thoughts.
How many pages did you put into this comic?

I actually wanted to do the 3rd panel together as to show the two girls making eye contact and the first thought going through there head along with the instant spark of their personalities clashing. I personally would have split it into 2 panels if they had more to say in their thoughts. That might just be me though.
And the comic is 25 pages long, showing I must be insane.

I haven't done sequential art in a long time. I simply can't write stories . I don't think you are insane, just dedicated. Imagine how many pages the pros have to crank out periodically.

Oh! I know it! I'm astounded by the high level of work that's put out weekly/monthly!
I probably think I should have went the mangaka route and got some assistants for some forced labor type help.
