Description
Anybody who's anybody has a Thomas OC, right?Anyway, this is mine.
Skookum was built in 1930 as the Timken Four Aces . After being damaged in 1931, they were rebuilt into a streamliner and used to pull Northern Pacific’s “North Coast Limited" (Chicago-Seattle) until the late 50s. (Note that this is not what actually happened to the engine IRL. But my AU, I do what I want)
The name Skookum is Chinook Jargon for "Strong/Dependable/Sturdy" and Skookum certainly lived up to that reputation over the years. Pulling first passengers, then freight, before being retired in the 70's. Skookum also speaks Chinook Jargon as a first language, though is also perfectly fluent in English.
Skookum uses They/Them pronouns, and has a love for the Northwest even if they don't live there anymore. They're also a firm believer in cryptids, particularly Sasquatch.
