Nice tut too! But the CPM's could be a bit higher no?
So the high speed video rendering is a bit smoother?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CPM ?? o.O
I don't know... for me the timelapse seems quite ok... a lot of people are doing it this way imo....

I agree, it does serve it's purpose - basically showing an artists talent in a given medium, while learning from it would be a plus!

~ Captures Per Minute! Or converted frames per min ~

Sure everyone has a preference - but if the artist is visually animated with dramatic movements, the result ends up being split sec frames over much of the viewing. Of course, it's just wishful thinking - about it being used as possible tutorial content.

Nice work though!

Man I really love your facial sculpts

Do you have any great tips where to start for this kind of stuff?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

eXecutex In reply to Nyamesiss [2014-01-18 20:06:26 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, Thanks a bunch.
Well how I learn over time, I most of all watch quite a lot of speedsculpts/timelapses, like the one I did, So I spend more time watching them how other people do this kind of stuff.
Also,Β  you could take a look at eat3d, 3d motive, gnomon workshop and even digital tutors for tutorials to learn. I have like almost 2 years of experience with this, so, I intend to practice a lot when I have available time
I guess this will help you

Thanks man

I've been using most of my time to learn 2D art lately, and feel like I could use something new such as 3D art

your speedsculpt is actually one of the first I've seen and its interesting to see how it all works

I'll be sure to check out the stuff you mentioned!

eXecutex In reply to Nyamesiss [2014-01-18 21:13:12 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, I'm glad you did, I think sometimes I have to get back to 2D Art, I've been too much 3D lately But We'll see
It's great that you have nice addition now Keep at it !

thanks man I've just downloaded Zbrush and started fiddling around with it for a bit --hehe it'll be a while before I make anything decent though

keeping your 2D skills polished is a lot of work too yeah ^^'' might get dusty if you don't for a while

Nice

I still wish they made the protheans more insectoid like the collector general, I know it would have been tougher to do as they used a lot of motion capture, but I think it would have been worth it -'J

eXecutex In reply to theBEARDEDcanuck [2014-01-18 20:00:37 +0000 UTC]

THanks, and yea, I hate the fact that almost every race is based on the human species. And that's a little boring, but I think it's fine

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

theBEARDEDcanuck In reply to eXecutex [2014-01-18 21:10:13 +0000 UTC]

I did like the tree friends at the bar in Mass effect 2 who were talking about the Asari, the Salarian guy asked why they were attracted to them because to him they looked almost exactly like salarians, the turrian guy corrected him saying they were identical to Turians only blue, the Krogan guy just said shut up before you ruin the Asari for me xD

I think if they expanded on this sub story and found out the Asari were some kind of telepathic insectoid that makes others perceive them as being similar to the female of their own species -'JΒ

WolfsbaneWolfen [2014-01-18 10:53:09 +0000 UTC]

I love the mass effect trilogy. The aliens are cool but with only a certain level. I think the protheans look cool enough but everyone for some reason were disappointed because they expected something more cooler than this.

Sammavanklaarbergen In reply to WolfsbaneWolfen [2014-01-18 12:02:54 +0000 UTC]

In my opinion they should have never designed a character for it. Same with Tali. The mystery is what makes them interesting. Giving them a face would always be disappointing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WolfsbaneWolfen In reply to Sammavanklaarbergen [2014-01-18 13:04:02 +0000 UTC]

The mystery is what's interesting. I'm just glad they fixed the endings making me love the trilogy the way I should.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Sammavanklaarbergen In reply to WolfsbaneWolfen [2014-01-18 13:29:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I agree. I didn't hate the ending at all. It's just the writers way of ending it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WolfsbaneWolfen In reply to Sammavanklaarbergen [2014-01-18 13:50:46 +0000 UTC]

But the problem with it is that it didn't make sense. Logically that is. That's why they fixed it. Bioware my be one of the only game companies that gives a crap.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sammavanklaarbergen In reply to WolfsbaneWolfen [2014-01-19 13:40:54 +0000 UTC]

Yeah that's true. Let's just hope the new mass effect game will be as great as mass effect 2 ( my fav of the series)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WolfsbaneWolfen In reply to Sammavanklaarbergen [2014-01-19 15:48:59 +0000 UTC]

Well , there is talk of mass effect 4 and I imagine what it'll be like. Personally I hope it's based of the protheans. But if not than I'd be fine with something different if done right.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sammavanklaarbergen In reply to WolfsbaneWolfen [2014-01-19 15:52:58 +0000 UTC]

Well they have more than enough lore to delve into. The Skyllian blitz, the rachni wars, the first contact. I hope they make it a more personal story on a smaller scale. The saving the galaxy for the umphteenth time is getting old to me.Β  But we'll see

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WolfsbaneWolfen In reply to Sammavanklaarbergen [2014-01-19 16:02:30 +0000 UTC]

eXecutex In reply to WolfsbaneWolfen [2014-01-18 13:29:14 +0000 UTC]

Yea I agree with both of you, tho they look very glorious in this situation and as you said their mystery is quite interesting and catchy
Which I most like the character of Javik, and I almost always chose him as my squad member
But yea, whatsoever, Bioware did a great job so far with their story

WolfsbaneWolfen In reply to eXecutex [2014-01-18 13:51:52 +0000 UTC]

Ever since the trilogy; I have met many characters. The ones that I liked and the number one was Javik. He just doesn't care and it's funny.
