The project I worked on a while ago, my first children's book publication. It was very fun, and a new learning experience.
"Why Doesn't Daddy Feel So Well?" is a book aimed at younger kids in families coping with an alcoholic parent. The book no doubt has a serious subject matter, but Rick did an excellent job of making it so young kids could understand. That said, I also tried my best to make the illustrations colorful and calming for a younger audience possibly dealing with a stressful issue.
Chapter 7 goes over the more technical points of AA and the 12 step project and other rehab methods. There wasn't mush about the family and didn't know what to do for the longest time... but hopefully this conveyed the message well enough x3
