A travertine terrace at Yellowstone National Park.This terrace is a couple hundred feet tall, photographed from the base.

Nice work. For shooting up into the sky like that you still have a lot of detail showing in the shadows.

I was surprised by that as well. The sky got dangerously close to being overexposed, but fortunately it came out okay. Thanks for the comment.

There's something about the cloud pattern and the ridges of the cliff-face.

They seem to complement each other, almost as if the clouds were coming from the cliff itself.
