I've just started watching Gravity Falls recently, too, so now I have better appreciation for these GF fanart pieces of yours!

You know, it's funny.  As hard as it may be to believe, I have never taken a selfie before, not even with a friend.  I bet they must be a lot of fun, though, especially when they're with a special person.  And when it comes to Gravity Falls, no two people probably look better on a selfie than Dipper and Mabel Pines (except maybe their grunkles).

First, the background.  Wow, look at those mountains and trees!  Those zigzag lines and the shading are really lovely touches and give that animation-style look.

Next, Dipper and Mabel.  Seeing these two bond is always a treat for the heart.  They have to be the best brother and sister I've ever seen.  Their gestures in the photo are well chosen, with Dipper tipping his cap and Mabel's arm around her sweet brother.  And that sweater isn't just a delightful detail; it's a sign of love.  Mabel's a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve, and ever other part of herself!

One question, though.  Didn't Dipper and Mabel have their cell phones and other electronic devices taken before they went to Gravity Falls?  Hmm . . . maybe Candy or Wendy is letting them borrow theirs. . . .  Seriously, though, it's not that terrible an oversight.

Great job!  It must've been a fun four hours drawing the best brother and sister ever!

Love those mountains so much!  It feels like I could reach out and pet them...  And that's a big compliment, since that's how I always felt about the mountains bracketing Salt Lake City and in Yosemite and Yellowstone Parks (Yosemite's terrain is pretty close to Gravity Falls', from what I've seen of the show).  Sky's a bit of a change from what I'm used to from you, too, mostly because it's limited to that very top band and bordered by the slightly purple peaks rather than being your normal summertime-blue field.  I'm curious what you used for a reference, or if you just did this on your own, because this is making me seriously homesick!  Trees look good too, kinda like the ones in the show but somehow kinda not, and the characters are fun as always, but for me the far background really stole the show.
