-If they bite, its not cause they're bad, it because you didn't train them right or backed them into a corner. Or they just want to play.
-Declawing is considered mutilation and can be horribly damaging to an animal
-Pigs have the intelligence of a three year old. They are NOT dumb
-Having to many animals makes it hard to take care of each one to the fullest. Don't be a collector.
-Chained up in a backyard is not exercise. Most dogs need 1-2 miles a day depending on size
-Animals have feelings and can be highly intelligent. Treat them with the respect you would treat your fellow man/woman.

I wonder if you know that the ASPCA killed about 90% of the animals it takes in without even attempting to find them a home. Also the ASPCA picks up and euthanizes people's pets who are NOT being abused.
They picked up my perfectly healthy/happy cat off the street and killed it. (Not literally the street. Why was he on the 'street'? Because he LIKED the outdoors and I didn't have the heart to keep him from what he loved)
And I've heard many other horror stories of people's dogs being picked up and killed within HOURS, before the perfectly loving owners even had the opportunity to reach the 'shelter'.
I fully support being kind to animals and doing away with animal abuse... but the ASPCA is NOT the answer.
Research it, please.

I know it's correct, blah, no animal cruelty...
But really. If any of my animals gave me that face, I'd run away. They only do that when they beg.

I'm totally behind you with the animal rights, we went on a trip to turkey on the fall holidays and it was so horrible to see all the animals on the street (especially the dogs). I always wanted to feed and pet them and my mother was always against it, because she thought that the dogs may bit me, because not everyone is nice like me to them. but they were just so happy that someone cared about them that they just don't wanted to go away...
What do you do for animals apart from beeing member of this organisation??

theres plenty of things you can get involved with~
maybe you know a farm or a shelter around you. Buy cat or dog food, litter, news papers (no ads or slick paper. they're either to small or don't absorb well), and maybe cleaning supplies(the one near me uses bleach.) that they can use. i usually buy cat food for the small goat farm down the road from me. they have stray cats they take care of. That and i help feed their baby goats.
Another thing is volunteer! Rescue centers love volunteers!! if you don't mind cleaning up some puppy poo its really easy and makes a big difference~
If you see something that could be abusive, call the humane society. a lot of people don't do that because they think it won't make a difference but i really think they should. Just keep an eye out.
Always adopt~ Always neuter/spay~

spaying is for the benefit of the cat so she doesn't have to have kittens and stops over population. besides, shelters do it before they sell the animals. and i haven't ever used soft paws or trained my cat. they simply behave for me.
and yes, i don't feel like defending them to you because 1. you have your own opinion that seems set in stone, thats fine, so do i. theres no point in arguing and 2. i'm sick of it, not be confused with simply giving up

This isn't an argument unless you're making it one. It's a debate. We're two people debating our opinions. And I agree that's fine that they're different.
Spaying and neutering is still altering your cat. I never said it wasn't good, but you said you don't change their natural tendencies. You do. So do I.
Your cat can't read your mind - at some point, some training had to occur. Them behaving for you implies that you at some time had to tell them what to do. Which means they aren't behaving as they naturally would. Which is fine - I have no problem with it whatsoever. But don't say it's not unnatural to the cat, because it is.

I'm all for any/all animal charities. I used to play on this virtual pet site when I was younger called Power pets that is starting their own kennel for abused and abandoned pets. I always thought that was nice though the pet site is primarilly for entertainment, but, people pay to be entertained so actually it's a godo way to make money for a cause of your choice. Anyhow, that was uneccisiary... your pic is CUTE
