Zolf: Big brother! Big brother! .... Solf? [Knocks on the door to his brother’s study] Do you want to watch the fireworks? Come on, let’s go and play. The town’s been working so very hard, to drown the stars, making a beautiful array! We used to be best buds, and now we’re not. I wish you could tell me why! Do you want to watch the fireworks? [Puts his lips against the key hole] Come on, I’ll be good.
Solf: Not now, Zolf.
Zolf: Okay, fine…
[Crying next to their favorite climbing tree surrounded by his friends] Why won’t father let him play with me?

-Teens-
[Solf is in the family’s special training room. By father’s orders, he must not be disturbed. Zolf really wants him to drop training and boring lessons for once and just have fun.]
Zolf: Solf.[knocks] Do you want to watch the fireworks? Or use our alchemy through the halls? Don’t you think some company is over do? I started talking to, the pictures on the walls. [Points over to a picture] Hang in there, Furhrer. I just feel a little lonely, not playing with you, just watching the hours tick by!

-Adults-
[Getting ready to head out to the Ishvalan war front. Zolf knocks on his brother’s bedroom door.]
Zolf: [Nearly whispers in worried sadness.] Solf? Please, I know you’re in there. Martel’s been asking where you’ve been… She says, have courage and I’m trying to. I’ll be right out there for you but just let me in! We only have each other, it’s just you and me. What do you think we’re going to do…? Do you want to watch the fireworks...?
