Description
“Hurry up, Thor,” I called, waving my pale-slender hand in the air like I was catching shooting stars. His blond mane stuck to the back of his perspiring neck, as he came over the hill huffing and puffing. “You are much too slow. How will you ever fight a band of Jotan soldiers, when you get older. You cannot use brute force all the time.” He gave me a slight glare with his sky-blue eyes, but instead he came bursting out with laughter. “And you do not call your clothing chintzy?” His counter was ridiculous, my clothing was breath taking in my opinion. I wore a gorgeous crimson red outfit, complete with black bands and gold armor and chains, everything clashing perfectly with my long black hair. He was just wearing a dark blue tunic with silver armor.“Well now, we cannot all run as fast as a wolf, can we, Shinku?” I yelped, 'How did he get-....that's right he has magic.' I spun around not noticing Loki was just inches away from me. His emerald-green eyes looking straight into my golden eyes. He was wearing his green, black and gold. Tunic and his black hair was slicked back, “Besides... I am the one leading us through there.” He then proceeded to grab two of my nine demon-wolf tails and pull me. Into the ancient forest he pulled, Loki for sure was not as strong as Thor but had the confidence of a royal guard.
“Ow. Ow. Ow. Not so fast Loki!” He knew exactly how to make me as vicious as I could be. I turned around and tried to kick him in the side but he used a double...again. “You trickster,” I couldn't help but to blush as I called him that name. He just placed his hand on top of my head and smiled. Sighing, we continued through the forest with Thor exploring ahead of us; he denied that we needed Loki's direction or my strong sense of smell and hearing. “I know where we are headed,” he would say. He obviously did not. “Oh, of course you do. Says the one whom so easily had mistaken a few different commoners as to be Lady Sif.” He slumped ever so slightly and bounded of another direction.
We had finally come across a large tree, of which contained thousands if not millions of beautiful pink blossoms, some fell down upon us. I must say, I chuckled as Loki looked up as one small blossom rested itself on his nose. “Blossoms grow this well near a constant water source,” Loki stated gently plucking it from his face and handing it to me, “We must be near a stream or a pond.”
“Brother, Lady Shinku, over here!” Not bothering to keep his voice low. I mean, this is the Ancient Forest, there has to be a reason it has been left alone for so long. We trekked over to the big lug to behold a most luxurious meadow with a glistening stream. Rare rouge Irises were strewn throughout the meadow along with black roses. And there perched on a large stone over the stream, was a black and gold harp.
“So it is true,” Loki muttered, “It really is true.” He stood there in awe as he scanned the scenery. “This was only written in books, and in only a few books I might add.”
Thor and I focused our attention on him, “ What is this place?” we were very eager to know.
This stream is the secret passage from Asgard to Muspelhiem, Land of the Fire Demons. It was only supposed to be used as a passage-way but now it is said that the all-father, Odin, has sealed an army of spirits of Muspelhiem soldiers whom are waiting for their queen, within it. Playing the harp with the correct notes will break the charm.” Surely I wanted to unlock this passage, I myself am genuinely the recently exiled princess of Muspelhiem. I wanted to find a way to regain my spot for the throne.
Thor sat down at the harp, “You do not even know how to play an instrument,” I added, lightly pushing him. Then I went to play the strings, but as soon as I placed a finger on it, I received a shock. I felt like a small branch from Thor's powers struck me. “Ow. Why? I'm a princess of that land.” Shaking my hand I backed away.
“Might I have a go,” Loki smiled. Touching the top of my hand with his, he sat down. “If I could only remember the notes, now.” He lifted his hand form mine. Softly he laid them against the strings... I didn't shock him... Loki proceeded to play the notes he had studied. The music was so beautiful, the voice that of the forest itself.
The stream began to open and the harp began to sound serpentine. Dark spirits came pouring out of a gaping whole left in the center of the stream. And the flowers began to glow like the embers of the land of Muspelhiem. Treading upon those embers were three creatures perforating evil. One seemed to be a mare of a night blue coat with black pupil-less eyes with blood red irises. Another was a basilisk with silver blades as scales and eternally white eyes. And the final was a...wolf, one almost of my kind. His coat was of pure white with what looked like blood stains scattered across his back and paws and golden eyes like mine. And they all shared the same look as one another, a savage loathsome glare.
The three lunged at us, the basilisk towards Thor, the mare towards Loki, and the wolf happened to lunge straight for me. I was not like Thor, I would not go charging at the enemy head on, I had to come up with a plan. I Managed to block the pounce with the strength of my nine tails, to create myself a barrier. If I could stun the wolf, I would be able to go help Loki, If he didn't defeat it before me. Ugh! And before I could even think of the second part of the plan, I was flung back into large tree. I jumped up and pulled out my sword; with its handle of gold and its green band Loki had made for me for an unknown reason. I flung several large fireballs at the savage, but it just ate all three of them and before I could use a double it bit me and swung me into the stone. I could hear both of the boys, “Lady Shinku!” And that was all I heard; my vision then started to blur and blacken. 'Am I really this weak?'
'What is this? Am I in Valhala or am I... No, wait. This is pain. Real pain.' My body undertook a tormenting, burning sense of awakening. I could feel my nails and fangs growing, my tails had an unpleasant tingling sensation. I attempted to awaken my eyes; they only blurred, forcing me to stumble through the pain. I eventually allowed my eyes to shut; but a howl crept up into my throat, howl!
The next moment I felt truly alerted to reality, I witnessed Loki and Thor slightly injured, sitting beside the blossom tree. As for those creatures, they seemed to have been neutralized. “Lady Sh..Shinku?” It was Loki, he looked like he just saw a ghost; pure horror...at me. I looked to myself. I was covered. With. Blood! Shiver. That's all my body could do now.
“Look,” the big lug pointed. We did so and to our surprise, there stood a spirit of an old man. The man had my shade of gold in his eyes, and he had silver hair, he seamed caring by is face and posture. He even wore a crown. 'No, this can't be.' I collapsed to the ground; I just couldn't believe he was here this whole time.
“Do not worry Shinku. I will take care of him.” Did Loki get thrown too hard or something?
“I truly appreciate the thought Loki. But...” Pinch! I got him right in his tender spot. “This spirit is not like the others... He's my grandfather.” My grandfather just smiled, I jumped into his arms, “Why did you leave me? Why did Odin seal you in here?!” He patted my head and released me.
“It was my decision. We were headed to war and my son, your father, was too naive . This was the peace agreement I arranged. I had a feeling that this would happen to my grandchild so I arranged this to make sure you would be prepared for the throne.” My grandfather stated this with a smile that contained sorrow.
“So you have those beasts about kill me and my friends?!” I couldn't believe his idea was this cruel.
“You need to be prepared for anything. Now you must hurry your studies and training. Surter, the new king, will be wagging war on Asgard. You and your friends will have to be ready...” Grandfather's spirit began to dissipate. “Well. I must be going. Valhalla is waiting.”
Before I could reach for him once more Loki and Thor grabbed my arms as Grandfather left us. They led me back to the palace and we quickly got started studying and training; ignoring our injuries.

Gabriella!!! This is pure, pure genius!!! You are such a great writer!!!!
My jaw is like, on ground right now!!!!
One thing you should work on though, lol, I'm going to use some Sickles CONSTRUCTIVEEE criticism xDDD:
Keep in mind the placement of the characters. Like, at the end when Loki was jumping up at Shinku's grandfather, it was just like he kind of appeared at her side from where he was sitting beside Thor. You know, like you could of said; "Loki was suddenly on his feet and within a few split seconds, cleared the distance between he and the spirit."
Along those lines
But really, you have such a good and broad style, i love it!!!\
Oh, remember, don't go wearin' your heart on your sleeve xD
