Description
This is barf not because I think it is bad, but because of all the pains it caused me.

It's in gouache, firstly, which I had had little practice with and still hate. The assignment was complicated and we only 10 days to work on it (I believe, it wasn't very much time) so it could be in the art show, and then it didn't even get in. I didn't know until the day it was due that some of them weren't going to get in. I was almost crying with anger at this piece as I busted my ass on it over that weekend. Gouache is really annoying.

The assignment was to show a deviation in personality traits (I chose drug addiction) and have an animal, silhouetted, (I got ox) revealing the personality deviation. We also had to have an element from a poem we randomly picked (fire), do some sort of foreshortening with the figure, aaand...paint a frame around it.

Wow, yeah?

I think my frame is distracting. In my head the scratchy sketches were scratchy sketches, not thick wormy lines.

I like needle trees. (They are needles. Not tampons.)

This did not photograph well for some reason.
