I FINALLY got around to posting this! We did these in like...the beginning of the year. This was a part of our medical curiosity show, 'A Case of Curiosities'.

So what our class had to do was pick three animals out of a cup, and figure out a way to combine them. I got a toad, an iguana, and a vampire bat. (I was ecstatic about that last one XD) We also had to make something to put our animal in or on, like a plaque or a little box type thing, or something along those lines. And, we had to include at least one 'reliquary' to go with your animal and the show's theme.

For mine, I made a coffin-shaped box, with Burtony tree things growing out of the sides, from which I hung some ooooollddd black rosaries. To kinda go with the whole vampire thing. Inside I put a vile of fake blood (our show was conveniently right around halloween) and a little fake candle which used to flicker but the battery has died since then.

This thing took forever. I spent at least a month on it. Every day. x.o The clay we used for the creatures was total crap air-drying stuff. NEVER USE AIR-DRYING CLAY. So many pieces of my sculpture broke while trying to put it up (the holes in the back were so it could be hung on the wall) and I had to hotglue it back together. Fortunately, for the box part, we used real clay, and that was so much nicer.

I named my creature a 'tigpire' because I couldn't think of any better way to combine toad, iguana, and vampire. >.>;;

:devayajunn: and ~Muirin007 both gave me some really useful advice while I was working on this, thanks so much guys!

everything © me - do not steal, copy, or repost elsewhere.

Sorry for the long description, I tried to condense it as much as possible.

Also, the photos suck.

that's about the actual size, and they normally stay in trees, if I remember correctly. I'm not sure I ever got back that paper I had to write on it >.> I think they live in like...tropical jungles or something like that, and I think they just eat insects or fruit or something. So you shouldn't have to worry about bumping into one XD;

This particular one is special. >.>
