SO here's the symbolic page!! Yep, you can see the little musical note that was on the ipod screen in the first picture here. (it's the lowest note on the page) And yes...I just HAD to stick a wolf in there. It's me dancing to mah loverly ipod, and I can't very well draw humans (especially myself) so, a wolf.

Explanation: My iPod is one of my many escapes from reality. (Thus "your personal escape") It helps me tune out all the bad stuff that's going on, or anything that I really would perfer not to think about. The torn paper around the edges is those bad thoughts, all crowded and messy, surrounding me...but I have my ipod, and I've created my own little pleasant world to push away all the bad thoughts. So I'm in the middle there, in my happy, pastel-colored happyland, free from all the things I don't want to think about. I took some of the watercolor musical notes from the first page and put them on here, to kind of connect the two pages together. No photoshopping was done to this picture other than resizing and adding the signature.

Media: Blue, black, and red construction paper, chalk pastels for the middle background, watercolor and pen for the muscial notes, and pen and Prismacolor pencils for wolfie me. I drew and colored the wolf on another piece of paper and cut it out, then stuck it on here (so the pastel wouldn't smudge all over it) some people couldn't tell I'd cut it XD OH...and I rubbed some pastel on after pasting the construction paper to make it look a little more...I dunno. Blended? Together? -shrugs- Whatever the reason, I did it, and I just wanted to point that out because it's hard to notice unless I tell ya I did that.

Hmm...I think that's it. This page scanned a LOT better than the first one, and I didn't want to play with the colors on either pages because it just screwed them up when I tried. Again, this does look better in real life, but I didn't put any shiny/see through stuff on this page, so it's more scanner-friendly. And this time you can see the sketchbook spirals. I guess I kinda like that in there.
