Description
This is a guide on a simple diet plan to help with purposeful weight gain without racking up the grocery bill, and even some ideas for keeping it healthy! This is meant for feeders, feeds or anyone looking to purposefully gain weight who's having some problems with their fast metabolism! Share with any feeder/feedee/other person looking to pack on pounds.ΒIf you're a gainer/feedee/feeder and want to share this with anyone feel free to repost, as long as you link back to my page as the creator and tell me in a note first. If you want more details on what makes this work and other options send me a note with your question. A lot was simplified here, so if you notice something not totally right just note that this is the very basics, boiled down quite a bit.

I do appreciate the thoroughness is the description, the planning, and the research. However, this is in part based on a misconception that seems to have hung around for decades. As strange as it sounds, your body doesn't take the fats that you eat and store them as body fat. It stores sugar. If you want to stay healthy, then making sure you eat the right kind and amount of fat is important, but in general gaining weight requires eating high sugar foods, not high fat.

Very recent studies have actually shown that eating fats does cause significant weight gain- as long as you eat a fair amount of carbs. A high fruit, high fat diet still leads to significant weight gain- especially because of the caloric density of fats. you are right that an all fat diet won't cause weight gain, but if you add fats without lowering your carb intake it is very good for weight gain. Processed sugar, however, also slows your metabolism- but it's very bad for your hormone balance as well.

For what it's worth, this is just a way to gain weight if you're health conscious and have problems with a fast metabolism, I am planning on making a guide for people willing to risk their health if that interests you, though I will still recommend this method in that for anyone else!

Heu I was wonder if you ever made this alternative guide for the not so health conscious folks? I couldn't really find it on your page, but then again I might be a blind fuck

According to a dietician I talked to The idea is that if you have a slow metabolism just increasing calories will work fine, but if you don't you need to make your body think it actually needs to gain weight to survive. It helps to make calorie goals on my fitness pal. Don't eat consistently on the regular week days, but still try to hit 3000 cals if possible.

Not no problems, but less problems. It's just a way to effectively minimize cost, risk and stop it from.being foiled by a fast metabolism

okay and I thought you had to eat a lot, likeΒ even eat when you are full and totally stuffed if someone had a fast metabolism?

ExtraBaggageClaim In reply to blackgeno [2016-06-06 16:08:08 +0000 UTC]
Kinda, but your body tries it's best to keep you at a set weight by speeding up your metabolism unless you trick it into thinking you need extra fat

okay then. but does this mean different for both women and man?
π: 0 β©: 1
ExtraBaggageClaim In reply to blackgeno [2016-06-06 21:18:13 +0000 UTC]
Kind of, but not in super consistent ways. As a general rule men have more muscle mass without exercising so they burn more calories than a woman of similar height, so higher calorie intake might be needed, but for the most part both men and women have their bodies trying to keep weight at a certain level that usually goes up as you age. If that point is naturally low you need to make your body think gaining weight has a survival advantage, ie. by making it think food isn't always available.

okay would using a feeding tube make someone with high metabolism gain weight faster?
π: 0 β©: 1
ExtraBaggageClaim In reply to blackgeno [2016-06-07 03:28:56 +0000 UTC]
If you reach the point that metabolism control isn't a plausible method and you just need to resort to more calories it's a very fast way to do it. The person would need an exceptionally exercised stomach to handle it though

blackgeno In reply to ExtraBaggageClaim [2016-06-07 04:14:14 +0000 UTC]
so will a feeding tank do it or not? I need that answer if you please.

Pretty well, it would just take work to be able to take it, there's a reason competitive eaters are considered athletes

I'd have to admit that this can most likely be used as a VERY helpful tip to either keep from gaining or to gain as much as possible in a short duration of time. Skimming down and reading the earlier comments, I'd have to say that gaining maybe a gamble. Although, it's good to see you provided tips to avoid running into major health hazards, I doubt the human heart can keep up with so much fatty tissue. Call me out if I'm wrong, but blood pressure maybe a factor when it comes to gaining so much. If it's not an issue, I'd be glad to see that someone could benefit either way from the information you've provided.

Thank you for adding in the health tips to this.Β I won't go so far as to claim this "advocates self-harm" as some more reactionary posters have, but there are definite health risks involved in this lifestyle and it's good to present remedies. It is, after all, a choice whether to take on the risk, and whether you were posting this, a cocktail mixing how-to, a guide for tattoos/piercings/etc., or whatever, it's important to keep in mind that there are associated risks and to address them so that readers can make informed and ultimately best-fitting for them decisions.

Thanks for noting that! One of the big reasons I did this list was to present a method for people who wanted to gain that didn't compromise health as much since a lot of gainers just eat lots of junk food. Not that there's anything wrong with that lifestyle, there are just people that would rather avoid it, since gaining and staying relatively healthy isn't impossible Means a lot to have someone appreciate that element.

There isn't anything wrong with that lifestyle, there's just not much right to it, either, heh.Β It's the difference between bungee jumping off a professional, safety-tested rig, and doing it off a bridge with some stuff thrown together from your garage.Β Both provide the same thrill, but one is much easier to continue living normally afterwards.
