Description This is an example of a low-poly game level interior for my portfolio. It would be ideal for a mystery or crime investigation game (although the original sketches I did for this were for a horror based scene) and is modeled to represent next generation modeling techniques. The walls, ceiling, doors, and props are traditionally textured, the floor has a shader applied to simulate a waxed or varnished surface.

Try to piece together yourself what might have happened here.

Programs used: 3DS Max 5.0 (modeling), Photoshop 7 (textures)
Time spent working on: About 20 hours

I find this rather boring, you should add some detailing to make it more interesting & pleasing to eye. Also, change lighting, it's too plain right now.

I completely agree with everything you had to say. I'm half-tempted to throw this one into scraps, as it's almost four years old now and really reflects none of my current ability.

Officer Shepperd is eating the meat soup surprise at the station cafeteria down the hall, when he realizes the "special" means it's about three weeks old. He rushes to the restroom and is almost to the stall when a sudden "Bang!" stops him. A second later the pain hits him, and he realizes he's been shot. Looking up he sees the angry face of the newly hired Officer Johnson whom he had been riding rather hard trying to "break him in." As he falls to the ground he begins to drag himself outside, blood smearing on the ground.

As he goes, Johnson walks slowly behind him, silent, stoic. He fires one, two, three more shots, the shell casings falling to the ground as Shepperd continues to drag on. Irritated by this profound tenacity, Johnson half picks up Shepperd and slams him against the wall. He holds the gun directly against Shepperd's head, looking down upon him and fires one last shot, the casing falling next to Shepperd's now--finally--lifeless body.

--sorry that's the best I could come up with based upon the locations of the evidence tags and the blood pattern.

uh i luv your work, how do u do the blood, do u hav some kind of decal tool in 3DSmax or is it a texture itself?

Thanks! And the blood is done in Photoshop and is a texture mapped to the walls and floors (and door).

The guy who's outlined on the wall and floor (say Bob)was chasing after another dude (Johnny), who hid in the toilets.
Bob smashes the door open but Johnny has now just finished loading his gun. Johnny panics and fire a first shot down at Bob's foot. Bob steps back and shoots Johnny who manages to fire back, this time hitting the head. Bob's head wound doesn't kill him instantly, he just manages to fire a second bullet, killing Johnny, and then he settles against the wall to die.

So am I correct?

Anyway, great scene, excellent use of textures to make the walls and doors realistic, and the wax shader is great, full marks for this scene...
