Description
Update: Now that I have finished all of the flele coding tutorials, I will now be making only revisions and finishing up my own. I doubt I will have the time to re-code your entire flele anymore unless I'm really interested. If you see any mistakes in my tutorial, then please notify me at once so that I may fix it.
Be sure to thank ~Blue-like-Hell for allowing me to use her flele shell [link] You can download it and look at the coding if you find it easier.

Mar. 17, 2011 REVISION:
The face given for surface6 pops up when installing a new shell.
Mar. 17, 2011 REVISION - 2:
Stroke face for surface2110 appears more often than surface2120

What is a flele?
-A flele is a little music player that "sings" along with the song you play
Where can I get one?
-[link]
Get the miku pack
How do I get different characters to sing?
You download a shell for the flele. This tut teaches you how to make your own shell (Kinda).
Help! Why doesn't it work on my mac?
-Currently, the flele can only work on a pc or linux.
-------------------------
Misc. Info
Flele uses Unicode (Shift_JIS)
The shell is coded in ANSI
-it plays WMV and mp3
-it cannot read files with odd characters

FAQ
What if I don't want to give it a dress up feature?
Then delete all the coding after the color separators.
What if I don't want to specify some of these options?
The delete it and see if it works. Most of the extra lines of coding I have are included so you can see examples.
What are the direction coding for the menu pictures?
Right
Left
Top
Bottom
Righttop
Lefttop
The same probably works for bottom too.
What if I see something that's wrong?
Well, tell me and I'll try to fix it.

If you have a question then I'll try to answer it as best I can.
PS I'D LOVE TO SEE YOUR FLELE IF YOU DO MAKE IT

I don't know if you're still answering anything from this deviation but...
I made a flele and it can strum and stuff, but I can't seem to get the code for the petting to work? Whenever I try to pet him it goes for a while with nothing then he went into hiding.

uhhhhhhhhhh not sureeeeeee. It's been a while since I looked at the code for it LOL What's the program behavior?

Omg, your tutorials were a greattt help while i was trying to figure out how to get my flele to work...but I do have a question. > O<; My flele seems to think it's a GREAT IDEA to try and play two different eye animations along with each other so sometimes there are funky over laps...is there a way to fix this? Other than having to edit the images themselves. XD I want to have the flele blush while singing but it keeps overlapping the eye part with a different eye so it looks like a funky raccoon..

Uh.........that really depends on how you coded the thing. Did you set two sequences to overlap on accident or anything like that?

Putting this together is more difficult than I thought! I'm trying hard to understand the code... its very useful thusfar!

eto.... My friend and I made a Belphegor FLELE shell, and it has a weird green outline on every layer, including the mouth one... ><;;;
Do you know what is wrong with it? OxO;

That's your problem then lol
I'm going to recommend you read through this tutorial . It should solve your green BG problems [as long as you haven't flattened the whole thing] lol

Oh, no problem I've had a lot of people come to me for coding help before so I figured I might as well finish this tutorial XD I hope it helps you finish it~! Cause I wanna see if you do >;D

Okay, so, I've made FLELE shells previously, and I've been working on one for my friends birthday.
But this is the first time where like, it shows the green background and many other things, like it just shows the mouth frames when singing. Or in general.

Oh gosh, you've encountered a pretty common problem actually.
For the green pixles, did you leave a transparent BG and just convert to indexed?
As the the disappearance, when you look at surface25 [and maybe a few of your stroke surfaces] there should be a portion that says "element,overlay,surface____.png,0,0" If you don't have one, you need one. If you do, then it probably doesn't say "surface0000.png" You should change it to 0000, though, I'm assuming that your flele base is named 0000 and not something strange like 1010 or something of the sort.

KylaBear In reply to Extrics [2011-02-05 05:21:32 +0000 UTC]
No, it's not the side pixels, its a big green square. D:
I'm working on the transparent bg right now to see what happens.
When I look it has that for surface0000.png, surfaceo904.png and surface0501.png?

Extrics In reply to KylaBear [2011-02-05 05:59:51 +0000 UTC]
You might want to send me a screen shot of that. I've seen some strange cases before, that might be one of them. Though, if you've properly converted it into an indexed file, it shouldn't do that.
Is your base image surface0000.png? Or do you have some sort of blank image?

KylaBear In reply to Extrics [2011-02-05 06:12:07 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, my base is surface000.png D:

Extrics In reply to KylaBear [2011-02-05 06:18:51 +0000 UTC]
You're computer isn't overlaying correctly. I don't know why it's not clearing the green correctly without seeing how you created the image D:
Would you mind sending it to me? I've never seen that happen before. I've heard of the black block before [where you have a transparent .png without the indexed mode] but never seen this before O.o

Well, first, I can tell you that you've ignored my advice about using the miku_s surfaces.txt XD You've jumped right into using the complex version. The de-poche shells actually has a few glitches most people don't notice. It's probably a part of that.
I'll work on it first thing in the morning since I do not want to be messing with the de-poche shells so late at night.

I'm sorry D: I've just kind of always used them q n q
You don't have to, I can probably go back myself :C I was working off of a different tutorial before I looked at this to see if there was something I had messed up.

I ended up having to remove the green BG anyways but you should just resave without it in indexed mode. I didn't mess with the eye frames since those worked just fine. I don't know what happened for the mouth but something must have screwed up in the image step. I also redid your coding and simplified part of it.
