There really is no need to!!<<<<<So for anyone that doesn't know how to get their Rana's individual number, I made a longish tutorial detailing how the number is obtained. I also believe there's supposed to be a video showing how but I thought this was fun doing it anyway. I'm not really scared of people stealing my number because it's not worth it anyway since it's just a texture file anyone can copy. If anyone does claim to have my number for their Rana, be sure to tell me and I'll figure it out. So here you go. If anyone wants the picture on the bottom, I can upload it to DeviantART as a more clean image.

And I just tried it again, this time using a Japanese VPN. And it still doesn't let me get on the website. So yes, the site www.rana-complete.jp is down. It really does seem that they have stopped supporting this particular Vocaloid. If you could send my your copy of her model folder (both her normal and chibi models if possible, as I have heard there is an official chibi version of her), then please do so. Just upload it to Mega or Mediafire, and then post the download link here. Thanks in advance.

iMACobra The website no longer works I tried directly visiting www.rana-complete.jp and it takes me to a screen that says the webpage can't be reached. Not an error page, but rather the browser's default page for when the web server doesn't even exist at that address. It seems that Yamaha has abandoned this Vocaloid. Can you just send me your complete model folder with everything in it?

no, it's still up^^ it's just that you don't have a japaneseΒ internet network, with is why it has ".jp" in the URL and not ".com", ".net", ".org", ".html" and so forth.
so unless you have a japaneseΒ friend, then you won't be able to get the number; but that doesn't mean you can't get the model itself^^

Nope. It's down. I'm using a Japanese VPN right now. And the server is down. I get this error in Firefox when I go to that site. The following is the error message:

Thanks for the info-graphic! I just have to ask, did your number correspond with the serial key you were given at all? The website is now shut down and i can't get my number, i was hoping there was another way to get it by looking at my own serial number.

It's included with the Rana V4 package, in other words, you have to buy it to get her MMD model (as well as the Chibi version).

I was reading through the latest comments (at the top) and it sounds like you only need to buy one issue of the magazine (first, I believe). However... I don't live in Japan. ; ^ ; Could I still order her model? And if so, do you know how much it would cost in US dollars?

Yes, the first issue comes with her model and you get your own number from there too. The model and instructions on how to get the number are in a CD that comes with the magazine.

When you buy the magazine, does the disk come with the magazine, or do you have to send in the ticket to get the DVD?

The disk/DVD should come with the magazine as it is preloaded with a MMD program and Rana's MMD model. The ticket is only for prolonging your trial ownership of Rana's voicebank but it only works for those living in Japan as far as I'm concerned.

This is probably a stupid question, but do I have to get the 1st issue specifically to be able to get the number? I can't find any copies of Issue 1 that are in new condition.

I believe you do need the 1st issue just to get your own number. I've never bought the rest of the issues because they're too costly.

By the way, I have a rather serious question. Someone is making pictures with a Rana model and is covering up her number saying that the people who pirate(?) vocaloids can get her license with that number, is it true?

What pic are you talking about? I don't think you can get her license with just your model number. That number is basically just a picture and can't be used as a key to unlock anything.

Ah, yes, that one. I've seen it and the person has already explained their description. Basically, they're saying that a user, Alexvox, was hacking Rana's voicebank through the DVD (not Kyoiiichi's Rana), in which he already succeeded, so now people can torrent and keep Rana's voicebank indefinitely, although, this is obviously illegal. I still don't think you can take someone's number using this method because your number comes from an external source on the internet so you'd have to hack that website just to steal all those numbers.
