Did a total reworking of the Flash's design for my Elseworld Universe.In this Elseworld Universe an electro-chemical accident while processing a crime scene at a STAR Labs facility is responsible for altering police forensics investigator Barry Allen’s bio-chemistry and attuning his body to the Universal Speed Force giving him his super speed abilities.
The Flash is second only to the Batman in this Elseworld when it comes to deductive reasoning and detective skills thanks to his forensics background, which has grudgingly earned him the respect of the Batman and aids him immensely in dealing with the various villains that he encounters. As the Flash, Barry Allen has gone on to establish himself as the premier superhuman defender of the twin cities of Central/Keystone Cities against the threats of both conventional and metahuman criminal activities.
Allen also attempts to learn about the Speed Force and how his abilities are tied to it after the appearance of the mysterious super speed villain calling himself Zoom who seems to know quite a bit about the Flash and his abilities as well as the Speed Force itself, which he seems obsessed with.
Iris West in this Elseworld Universe is a scientist at STAR Labs and former college sweetheart to Barry Allen who helps Barry to learn about his speed abilities after his accident and develops the unique uniform he wears as the Flash that is capable of standing the rigors of super speed motion.
The two eventually rekindle their relationship due to their continuing interactions with one another because of Barry's activities as the Flash to the point that they are now engaged to be married.
The Flash is also a founding and active member of the Justice League.
