Description This is a pic i captured ages ago. I have been playing around with it and this is what i came up with. I thought i'd share the main parts of the technique i used and see if it helps anyone out

The rose was originally pink and bought from a local florists. I sprayed it with water using a spray bottle and added the larger drop using an old eyedropper bottle. Then i placed it next to a window with a good amount of diffused natural daylight coming through. Finally i used a very makeshift reflector ( tin foil taped to a piece of card ) to bounce some light back from the other side.

I shot this in raw with a Canon 350d and the "kit" 18-55mm lens. I used lightroom to do the raw conversion and then used a few layers in photoshop to create the ice effect.

As always enjoy
