Description I was down at the local pond this afternoon when a couple of kids on bikes managed to spook the pair of pelicans that were happily swimming around. They took off and circled around overhead for a bit before disappearing to the south.

I snapped this as it flew over my head.

You obviously haven't checked out all of my gallery then. There's already quite a few bird shots in there, including at least one from North America

Yep. I always sharpen my shots slightly when I reduce the size of them.

Oh nice capture of MY pelican! I was walking down there around that time this evening and both pelicans were there - I am unhappy that they got spooked, they are my friends I didn't see you there...I was just walking (forced myself to leave camera at home). It was great as I got to pat a jet black ten-week old alpaca

nah, alpaca was a few k's away (it was a long walk!).
