Eyes are soul's mirrors or windows (I've heard both versions )
Wonderful If I could draw so amazingly, the only thing I'd change would be a little bit of grey to the white of the eye - it would be less perfect, but I think more realistic (but I can't, so my drawings aren't even 1% so realistic, so it's just a passive observant's opinion).
The iris is just perfect and lashes are wonderful

Thank you so much for the suggestion.. Yes greying the white area will make the iris a bit more shiny

I never liked the idea of changing white colour of the white of the eye, but I realised it gives more 3D and realistic look
And yes, then iris looks even more shiny

yes, you have to draw with colors like grey or pink to acheive its shape. otherwise it will look flat.

For me skin is still a huge riddle I know I need to discover it by myself after many tests, but I spend a lot of time watching drawings like this one :thumb391410706: and wondering how is it even possible?
I hope one day I will find out And that by that time my skills will be high enough to use this knowledge properly

i cant find that drawing by thumb alone......please send me the link instead I should have used steadtlers instead of prismas for skin......skin is easy to draw with hard pencils.. Just use the color you see in the reference pic and apply it without even thinking and be sure to use various shades of yellow brown and pinks to draw skin.. dont stick on to one color alone

Sorry, somehow thumbs appeared in other comments.
My problem is no colour seems to match I have the biggest Faber-Castell Polychromos set and I can't do that magic some people do using even only two or three pencils - I need to break this wall
I usually use two or three pink and peach shades and two or three brown, but it's too dull and flat.
I guess I need to practise much more and find my way

That drawing is really good.... .try to mix colors, and try to see the color value (dark or light ) . Color value determinesΒ  the shape of an object....not colors.. That is why even graphite pencils can create realistic shapes. So in the areas where there are shadows, use dark brownΒ  even if you are drawing fair skin. It is not that difficult. and keep a sharp point for smooth color change.Β  In this drawing i used blunt pencils only because i was so lazy and was in a hurry....so skin looks woody..

I use more value than colour and that makes my drawings flat, not like this one I sent you.
I'm impatient and I often give up when my drawing disappoints me. But one wrong line can do that - erasing it when it's not the first or the second layer destroys it
I tried cold colours for shades, but it's hard to match for me

and that values should be in smooth gradation. use light pressure and build the color up ..dont be disappointed by the results....eventually you will draw just fine.. I was horrible initially

Everybody is horrible in the beginning, the point is to make progress
I guess I complain too much instead of just drawing
Thank you for the advices
