This will require a bit of explaining. So you see that all of these elements are positioned on the wheel, and some are in the middle. The ones in the middle are neutral which means they don't have an element. However, you may also notice the black horizontal line going across the middle. That splits the element's alignment.

You see how Water, Light, and Fire are on one side, and Ice, Darkness, and Lightning are on the other? That means they belong to the same alignment class. The top half of the outer circle are Dark aligned elements, while the other half is Light aligned. What this means is that some people are better at some spells than others because of what alignment they are. So if someone had a more dark aligned soul, they would learn dark aligned spells quicker, and have a difficult time with light aligned spells, and vice versa. As for Wind and Earth, they are neutral attributed, so everyone learns them at a similar rate. People with neutral aligned souls would learn everything equally, and wind or earth spells faster than other people.

As for the circle in the middle, they are neutral elements, but still have an alignment. For every element on the outer circle, they can learn the three spells closest to them the fastest. For example: A fire element student would learn Magnet, Slow, and Confuse the fastest. However, since they are neutral elements, the person wouldn't learn the opposite spells with much difficulty, and the rate they learn their aligned spells isn't as high as how fast they would learn their element spells.
