Description
This is a list of the various dust types found on remnant. It explains what they do as well as how hard it is to collect them.

Common - These dust types are very easy to find. All you have to do is dig and you will find some. In fact is you look hard enough you can find entire crystal beds of these dust types. There use is obvious.

Uncommon - These dust types can only be found in certain environments.

- Plant dust can be found in jungles of where ever there are a lot of plants, it's used as a fertiliser to increase crop production. One handful of this dust can fertilise an entire field. In combat it can be used to make vines grow very quickly.

-Gravity dust is only found on floating islands. This dust allows floating cities or building to exist. The most notable example of this is Atlas. In combat it allows a person to defy the laws of gravity and if shot at an enemy it will affect the gravity around them.

- Electric dust can be found near areas of high electricity likes cities and lightening strikes. This dust is used as a power source, it is also vital in combat.

- Ice dust is found where ever it is very cold. There is a lot around Atlas. Most huntsman and huntresses from Atlas use this in combat, they freeze their enemies and create ice barriers.

- Psionic dust can only be found in areas of high psychic activity, it is found near meteorite strikes. This dust is used to clean homes, in combat it can increase an armies intelligence and control the minds of the enemy.

- Sand dust can be found in deserts. It is used by the people of Vacuo to clear a path through the desert and to create sandstorms.

Rare - These dusts types are found in dangerous locations.

- Magma dust is found in volcanos, it is very difficult to get. It used in combat to boil your enemies alive and can also be used as a fertiliser.

- Plasma is one of the newest dust types. It was only discovered when alien warships crashed on Remnant. It is rare and dangerous to get. It uses are still being discovered but it seems to be a more powerful variant of fire dust.

- Radiation dust is normally found deep underground an is highly radioactive. It was recently found on the surface after Godzilla had passed by. It is used to create the core for nuclear reactors. In battle it can be used to create atomic breath like Godzilla.

- Poison dust can only be found in poisonous environments. There is no antidote an touching the dust with bare hands lead to certain death.

- Dragon dust is only spoken of in legends and was thought to be a myth. Recently dust crystals of amazing power were found, if these are dragon crystals then creatures worse than Grimm roam the world. Legends say that those who have this dust have all the strengths of a dragon. The dust has yet to be tested but those who have been near it say they felt incredibly strong.

- Hard Light dust was the only original rare dust, now with the discovery on new elements people think it is more common. Its use to create power and for high energy attacks.

Extremely Rare - These are both rare and only found in dangerous locations.

- Metal dust this is only found in areas with rare metals and near creatures that eat those metals. This makes it very hard to get. If this sprayed upon metal the metal becomes stronger. A sword can resist xenomorph acid. A robot could resist Godzilla’s atomic breath.

- Slime dust can only be found in slimy locations or in the bodies of slime monsters. While it's not useful by itself, when combined with other dust types it becomes more powerful.

- Grimm dust, this dust comes from a specific type of Grimm, Enhancers these increase the strength of other Grimm. These Grimm are very rare and the dust is also rare. When you do find an enhancer they are normally surrounded by other Grimm. If you have this dust you can control the creatures of Grimm. However you run the risk of becoming like a Grimm.

- Shadow dust this dust has never been used by the four kingdoms. This may be because the dust is found in a location that is off limits to all. It is found in the former home of the god of darkness. This is CLASSIFIED.

- Light dust this dust has never been used by the four kingdoms. This may be because the dust is found in a location that is off limits to all. It is found in the former home of the god of lights. This is CLASSIFIED.

Legendary - These dusts aren't even know to the people of Remnant, they were discovered by the Barraki. They only exist because the super class titans, magic users, demons and angels have visited Remnant in the past. It is imperative that they hidden, because if they are ever found they could destroy reality itself.

- Life dust is an organic crystal which can heal the most gruesome injury or disease and bring the dead back to life. It is speculated that this dust might be the blood of the Titans of life.

- Death dust this dust kill everything, it is given out by the grim reaper himself or herself.

- Time dust allows one to manipulate time. Time can be paused, sped up or slowed down with this dust. It cannot be used for time travel, although it can be used as a fuel source for a time machine if you have one.

- Space dust allows one to manipulate space. It allows the user to teleport anywhere, you must be very careful if you teleport into the middle of a rock its a problem.

- Matter dust allows one to control matter. This can create and destroy matter, but you must be specific about the type of matter.

- Antimatter dust this destroys matter. When this dust touches anything it is instantly destroyed.

- Arcane dust or magic dusts as it's called by some allows one to use magic. This dust is created by the seasonal maidens, they create as much as they need, however as they are Classified no one knows this dust exists.

- Holy dust comes from angels and heaven and bestows some of their properties on the user. While angels are rare on remnant they still do make this dusts. The dust is create by portals to heaven.

- Demonic dust comes from demons and hell and bestows some of their properties on the user. No one on earth or remnant can know this dust exists. It becomes more common deep in Remnant, which hints at a connection to hell. If you put this in a machine you can open a portal to hell. Legends say that if you throw an immortal being into such a portal then they will never be seen again.

Authors note: Demonic dust is something that Ozpin is trying to find to collect enough to throw Salem in to a portal. Salem is immortal and can not be killed by conventional means. What better way to get rid of her than to throw her in hell itself.
