Description
OA-10A-FA, 78-0690 assigned to the 354th Fighter Squadron, 355th Wing based at McChord AFB and seen at Luke AFB in June 1994.
The 355th wing was based at Davis-Monthan AFB, but the 354th was based at McChord from 5 Jan 1993 through 1 October 1994. I loved the "TC" tail code!

I heard on the news that the u.s. armed forces are down sizing and the a-10 is on the chopping block to be replaced by drone aircraft?

The "TC" was for Tacoma WA, the town next to 'Mc-Fog' AFB (McChord). The 318th FIS F-15A/Bs carried TC for a short time before the FIS units were shut down in December 1989 f16crewchief.deviantart.com/ar… and the markings before they got "TAC" tail codes f16crewchief.deviantart.com/ar…

Oh wow! Yeah, love the colors on those light gray Eagles, I didn't know they rocked the 'TC' code in the 318th. Thanks!
I tend to forget these things when the Air Force just keeps getting smaller and smaller every year.

The 48th FIS at Langley was another ADTAC unit that got tail codes right before they were shut down f16crewchief.deviantart.com/ar… and their earlier "ADC" markings f16crewchief.deviantart.com/ar… . The 5th FIS at Minot carried the colorful air defense marks on their 'Light Greys' f16crewchief.deviantart.com/ar… but they were inactivated before they got a tail code.
The USAF of my day was much simpler and I am glad I am out! You guys have quite a job ahead of you in today's world!
