FULL VIEW IS LARGE.Okay so this started as a random train of thought last summer when I was reading up on the online collective Anonymous. I was also reading a lot of science fiction back then and this kind of spiralled off from there.
I find the theory behind Anonymous to be a very interesting one and I think it's even more fascinating that it works, in its' own way.
That being said, this comic is purposefully vague. There are several different ways to interpret it, and if it's not crystal clear in its' message, then that is because there is none. Well almost. I guess the only thing this comic has the balls to really say is that, however many (hundreds?) of years later, Anonymous is still around.

Anonymous isn't really that bad ass.
If you think about it they've failed at every major operation they had.
They didn't eliminate CoS
Couldn't take down the great firewall of china
Couldn't liberate Iran
Couldn't truly free wikileaks
They won't be able to stop CISPA since big corporations don't have their back.
But what's odd is that Anon seems to be the big bad corporation now

Ah, but they certainly like to present themselves as bad ass. Those YouTube videos with the ultra theatrical music blaring so loud you can barely understand the announcements, the wording of the announcements themselves, etc.
That dramatic quality that those videos have definitely served as an inspiration for this as well, just not having to worry about coming off as clichΓ© since that would totally fit the subject matter anyway.
That being said, I do think they're bad ass to a certain degree. It's fun to speculate, at least.

Why does the anonymous "personification" kill that loser?

The "loser" in this story thinks that he is a part of Anonymous, fighting for their cause, etc. But according to the guy in the suit, the loser has lost his way and has forgotten what Anonymous actually stands for.
On the other hand, the guy in the suit might be the one who has lost his way. That's up to you to decide.

True. Of course, the Original Anon is killing the new Anon. Without the new Anons, would the group still exist? If it is wouldn't, that means that the Old Anon is killing both himself and the new ones...
This makes for some good interpretation.

guy in the first panel's expression, transition to his expression in the third to last panel vs. the blank expression on the other person and their transition to no face at all. good stuff..
i found myself connecting with the guy who actually had expressions, and wanted him to somehow "win" (either mentally, physically, spiritually, or something like that) so when you see his last expression being scared/defeated, i also felt that way.
