A character I made up and painted a little while ago.Not a lot to say about him, really. I just need to find a name.

The idea of this chracter is brilliant!

This blows me away. True, all of your artwork is of an incredible, incredible standard, but this picture - for some reason - REALLY captivates me. The expression on the character's face -- well, the fact that you could make him have such an expression, despite the fact he is without lips or eyebrows, truly amazes me.
The attention to DETAIL in this is a little frightening, too -- what with the engravements in the sword, and the textures on the blade, the little swirl on his chin, the individual shadows around his mouth and knuckles, the stitching in his arm-things, the folds in his pants, the tiny crack on the medallion-thing, and even the little creases in his boots!
The colouring is from another world. I can't even begin to comprehend how amazing the colouring is, and the colours you used. It's perfect, and unique, and professional. With every one of your submissions, I am reminded twice over why it is that I'm watching you.

do you happen to have a tutorial on how you color in painter?
i've always admired your style - how it looks like colored pencils

I don't have a tutorial, but it's not that complicated.
I use the Dull Conte as a tool, and most of the time (at least on this one) I just hatch and cross hatch with a small brush size. Lots and lots of individual strokes blend together = somewhat reminiscent of colored pencils.
