I promised a collaboration to fellow Sattelite Sodyite Mouse a while back, provided he draw up something Zelda. Well he did! And then I colored it, clearly. Had a blast, let me tell you.Pencils: Mouse [link]

its links blade that makes this picture for me...i could stare at that for hours. did you add the tattoos during coloring or were they in mouse's lines?

I added them later on. I was using a reference image from the back of the Windwaker handbooklet, and the featured hog had those tattoos. Thought it'd be a nice touch to add them in.

Mouse's lineart is phenomenal, with real character and an amazing sense of movement! And the colouring complements it fantastically too, with superb lighting and an incredible sense of form!!

nice one! though the hatchet looks weird, I think its because the front isnt supposed to be lit like that, the rest it pure genius man!

well....I think that the front of the hatchet should be darker instead of lighter cause right now it doesnt really look like its the front of teh hatchet, it looks more like a uhm..... bevel, if you know what I mean.......I've got a very limited english vocabulaire!

But given the lightsource is coming from the bottom (regarding the blade), then the side facing upwards would be darkest, and the other two, smaller sides would be lighter, wouldn't they?
Given the angle of the blade, there would be a lot more reflective lighting from the stones, objects, characters in the situation hitting the two smaller sides than the big, upwards facing side.

Ha ha, actually, I think you're right. I just didn't understand what it was you meant before. But the overdraw makes things clearer.
