Description
So... I've updated my Lara model and decided to share the results that I got now, after putting alot of work on it. This is the main overview compared to the original model, the left one it's the extracted model with simple shading, and the one at the right it's my reworked model. I'll be sharing more in depth details about what was changed from the original. But just for a quick explanation, there were three main things that I've worked:#1 - Skin shaders:
I managed to make a physical correct Skin shading model through Cycles node system,
that takes in acount all skins layers (dermis/epidermis), making the skin really realistic in this model.
#2 - Eyes:
I modelled new physically correct eyes for Lara. They use realistic cornea refraction and caustics,
sclera subsurface scattering, wetness model and pupil light reaction, that contracts and dilate
for animation. All this shaded with 2k Iris and sclera maps.
#3 - HAIR :
This is the most intensive and "painful" part of the model. Believe it or not, the hair was done ALL BY HAND,
strand by strand, countless hours combing/growing/cutting in the Blender strand particles editor, and took me months trying to
figure out an approach to make it right. But finally it is at a point that I'm very satisfied with the results. The hair
can be animated with physics (just like TressFX), and have more than 100k strands.
I hope you liked, and stay tuned for more in depth information about this model that I'll use on my next renders (Maybe even in a animated short movie/series. Who knows? ).
I would like to thank , that provided me some of the Lara's face textures extracted from the game.

New Lara's details are really nice. Original Lara's cheeks look way better. (Am I just seeing it different?)

I don't even touched her original cheeks LOL. But if you say so... Maybe must be the shading, the way that light interacts with her skin.

Your model looks so clean! And the lighting and skin on your version is better!
