Description
Quetzalcoatl is the god of wind, lightning, storms, water, creation, pretty much everything really, of meso-American myth. In Zazaniltin (Tales) he is Mayauel's young companion and the youngest of the 'Tezcatlipocas' (group of four dragons), the White Tezcatlipoca. I refer to his type of dragon as a Quetzalcoatlan dragon for simplicity, but in the comic they'll have a different name to avoid confusion. The story takes place in the Amazon before meso-American cities existed.Quetz would be about 8 or 9 if he were human and he has a hyperactive overly-excitable personality (and is also the most fun to draw). He cannot yet fly but can glide, and all his body feathers have come in. He constantly is getting into trouble, butting heads with Tezcatlipoca (the char, not the group), and always tries to take Maya's jade crystal. Over all, a complete brat.

I love the expressions. His pain face makes it look like someone just stepped on his tail. If I might make a suggestion (Aztec Mythology is a specialty of mine), have you tried rendering him without the legs. Quetz was meant to be a serpent after all. Anyway, still love it.

is a good character, is so cute....but.....he's not Quetzalcoatl!! Quetzalcoatl is a Coatl, a snake, a reptil. Not a dragon, he doesn't have horns, or wings

This God it's pretty and I know that his name means: "Snake with feathers"---> Quetzal for the bird and Coatl for the snake... Wonderful, isn't it??? Yay! What a beautiful name!!! Arriba MΓ©xico!!!

This is sooo cute!! The expressions are awesome, too! Whenever I draw expressions, I try to keep it simple, but you really went out of your way to go the extra mile! Can't wait to see the comic!

Well, he isn't a god in the comic. He's only based on the god Quetzalcoatl--call him the original inspiration for the old legends.
