avatar commission forAs cool looking as the color avatars are, I vastly prefer doing black and white sketchy avatars like this. I can make them in less time and they are smoother and better animated because, having so few colors, they don't take up as much file space as the colored ones (DA allows a max of 15kb for icons).

When you have to draw your character enough times from so many different angles, you pick it up. Animation is the best form of drawing practice I can think of. Remember the adage: everyone has a thousand bad drawings in them. You get the bad art out of your system that much faster if you animate, haha!

A combination of straight through animation and keyframe animation. Keyframe animation is a technique where you draw the extremes of the motion (for instance, sitting down and standing up are two extremes) and then fill in the rest according to the timing you want. Straight through animation, you never specify the extremes and the timing is more organic, though it can be more innaccurate. Straight-through is a better technique for effects like fire, smoke and water which never have real extremes to begin with.

Flash is its own program that you're required to purchase (or you find a crack of). I'm sure if you google search "free animation software", you might find something though.

Cracked just means it's an illegal copy of the software. Kinda like downloading a movie off the internet that's not supposed to be there. They're easy to find, the trick is finding a torrent of it that doesn't contain a virus too (easy scam there).

Cracked copies of programs tend to have little irks and problems though @__@ At least, a lot of the ones that I've come across do.
But I can't find any good ones =[ I've browsed about and decided I should ask that people that use the programs to find one, whether I can download it or buy it =]

Colored would probably be 50, but the black and whites are 30 to 40 (for the same detail as a colored, and they can be longer too). I really recommend the black and white.
