Description
Commissioned by SophieCabra of her character Tartuffe, the mammoth.Elephants are fun to animate, but this took me a while. They don't walk like other animals (have to keep their legs very straight to support weight, no more than one foot off the ground at any time) which provided an interesting challenge.

I vaguely remember it, but then I didn't design this character. Tartuffe might've been inspired by it for all I know.

it's soo cute! I really like it, and I didn't know that about elephants

Also, elephants physically cannot gallop. They also can't jump or even extend their legs past their usual stride to clear a small gulley. When your legs are built simply to keep you upright and not much else, there isn't a lot of flexibility of movement. Makes you appreciate the keen construction of dinosaurs (many of whom where several times the size of elephants) all the more.
