A work in progress of a comic/story I've pondered for a bit. Posting it up to get some feedback. Clean up will happen another day.Basically Soolee is frustrated. She's uncovered this marvelous astrolabe, but has no idea what it does. There's nobody in Twistoult who can help her since the aerie is more concerned with mysticism and medicine than mechanics. The only griffon who has any idea what she's got...is a Skekrill spy.
Good thing Soolee is too naive to know a spy when she sees one, and that Briggen is willing to lend out a page on the offchance this gryphling is as skilled as she claims.
Don't worry the threat isn't carried out. She was crazy enough to pull it off and he got a shiny new and improved astrolabe ([link] ) to use in his nefarious map-making.

My favorite sequence is the "Reveal your secrets, Astrolabe!" panels. It just cracked me up.
It's slightly difficult to discover the flow of the panels simply because it's a WIP, but the story works out just fine. I like your choice of close ups and full body shots for each panel, so no real complaints in the layout department!

Pffffffffffffffft, I started cracking up as soon as Soolee pulled the facedesk and I couldn't stop giggling for a good 15 minutes or so after I finished reading the comic. xDDD I really really need to learn to draw expressions like this. xD

They're both so expressive in these sketches! This makes me love Soolee so much. I need to include her in one of Suli Rundi's challenges once I finish my turtle festival stuff.

You have no idea how much I already love this. Soolee always reminds me of Pacman, if pacman had pointy bits in his mouth. And you've captured Briggen excellently. X3

To draw her face, you actually DO need to start with a kind of pacman head and then build the beak out from there. Makes drawing expressions easier since the beak edges get a lot more play
