Aaaw. This is so sweet.
One time I was at a cottage and my cat caught a baby water sparrow. We rescued it, and it would open it's mouth like that to be fed. We calle him Echo bird. He ended up at a bird-rescue place but I think of him every once in a while.
This brought back wonderful memories, thank you so much for posting.

You're very welcome! Glad it brought good thoughts. I love any type of wildlife, and I myself have nursed injured birds back to flight - good feelings.
