Description Hello everyone <3

As you likely know from my other artwork I'm a big fan of mooks/goons and other groups of sinister henchmen! Who despite their job are often silly and not that dangerous so the hero can take down scores of them at once. But dang if they dont make an amazing pile at the end! As such when Elise Zoe Heider on Twitter (  twitter.com/EliseHeider ) started to put up her mook series of some of the cutest lizzies of various sizes;

Especially those Interns, I was just in love with them at first sight! Hope you all like my take on their company and how things look through the eyes of a fresh hire

** Day -1
Hired!

Hello entry number one! I was told by one of the Guards who helped show me to the interview spot to keep one of these! He told me it was for note keeping in case I found any issues that need a work order but couldn’t find the proper four forms. Four! I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. So this will be kept with me at all times for mainly entries after my shift but if I need to mark down anything else important too. As this little device is much easier to carry around than a document case of forms. Sure it means I wont be payed for the first month due to having this but it's worth it! I’ll do a great job and be hired properly after it!

But yes! Hired for the Intern job! Yaaaaaaay! I’ll be showing up tomorrow night for my first proper shift where I imagine I’ll be shown around again for the spots I need to make sure are clean and where all the tools are for the job. Didn’t have any experience really but they said that wasn't an issue after I showed an interest in this recording device. Foot in the door and all that! Just need to make sure I don't get my newly acquired mop tail stuck in the door!

But for now going to sign off and get some sleep if I can. So excited to have this Internship!

** Day 1
Read a map

Hello again notation device! I am speaking into it as I found that as an option. Much faster than trying to use the touchscreen keyboard. So helpful! It's even putting it as text for me so I can check if anything is wrong. Aaaaaaaa. Box! Mop! Heheh. But I am currently on my break, that is five minutes of not being able to work so I am currently innnn….Hallway E4 near one of the supply rooms for Janitorial supplies. I will be filling up the mop bucket in there before wheeling it out and myself to Hallway C2 to make sure its good and shiny.

Thankfully there are maps all around here so I can figure out where to go and the nice big numbers and letters on the wall help a lot as well. I was surprised I wasn’t given a walk around but the Supervisor kept looking at his own phone and then his shotgun as I signed in with him before he turned and stormed off pretty quick. Saying something about ‘issue needing a push!’. I hope he managed to fix it. But thankfully on hiring one I was shown pictures of the rooms where I would find equipment for my job and this headset lets me know where issues are. Hello camera! You can likely see me speaking into this. And you’ll see me at C2 soon enough.

I believe that was my five minutes, yes headset I thought so thank you, so off to mopping! Hello Guards! Keep up the great phone sharing!

** Day 3
Teamwork!

Its a pretty big facility here, and all of us lizards gota work together to make sure its secure, running smoothly, and clean! And today was a great example of that as I ride home on the bus. Alone but hey thats what I would expect at three AM. Sitting near the back so I don't bother the bus driver too much with my yapping into my notation device.

But teamwork, today I had two fun experiences of that, and one telling off. But the fun first. I was buffing the floor in A6 and almost ran right into one of the large Enforcers! His big shield almost knocked over the buffing machine as he turned to see me, the tiny wriggle, that had bumped into the largeness of him! Before he easily reached out and caught the tipping machine, and me, and set both right up again. What a nice big guy. Name of Everest and he made sure I was alright once I had turned my music down. And then asked all kinds of questions like how long I’d been there and how I was finding the facility and things like that. It really made me feel more welcome. And then we both had a great time using the floor buffer on his big shield! It wasn’t fully mirror or anything but you could see the rough shape of yourself in it! We both had a good laugh at that before Everest tromped off to complete his patrol. Hoping I had a great rest of the day after sharing his phone number. He sent me a few memes after he signed off for his shift.

After that was the ten minute scarf marathon for lunch and then some more basic sweeping of one of our maintenance corridors. I wasn’t playing music then as it was a little cramped in there and the music would start to bounce around the pipes and sound pretty bad. It was during the sweeping I heard the clatter and curse out one of the doors. And as we are encouraged to make sure everything is running smoothly I quickly investigated! Only to find a Custodian laying on the floor next to a badly bent ladder! Quickly setting aside my broom I helped them up and he pointed up at the light he had been trying to change before the stupid ladder broke! But that was a simple problem to fix as I plopped down on hands and knees to be a table for Jonas to let him get up to change out those two long light tubes. He called in the ladder breakage as he worked so when he was done with that light another Custodian had shown up to give him a new ladder. So back to our own jobs we went!

Oh yeah. I was also warned by my Supervisor, and poked in the snoot with a shotgun shell, that I wasn’t to be late again. I didn’t complain about not controlling the bus speed but just nodded. Hopefully it won't happen again.

** Day 5
Sleepy crudness

Three thirty AM hello. Alone on the bus hello. Dictation machine - today was not a super day at WSG really. The bus was late again. Twelve minutes. So I was given a proper infraction report today for being late again. I’m allowed one more before a bigger punishment is handed to me but maybe…maybe because I stayed thirty minutes late that balances it out? The computer system knows I signed out later. Maybe that will make the infraction go away in time?

I hope so. Feeling pretty tired too machine. It was less cleaning and sweeping by myself today and more moving boxes around inside storage. I didn’t try to read what was on the boxes as I was just told to move them but whatever they were they were very heavy. Well to me at least. I did spot Everest helping on the far side of the storage room and he was hoisting a box over his head a few times with a big smile as he moved past the Guards who were also working. It was a lot of stuff needing moving…maybe they are planning an expansion? Could have been a lot of tools or materials in those boxes. But that's all I’ll think about it really. That's not my job and I don’t want another infraction so soon. Going to at least sleep good today before back again tonight.

** Day 6
Worry and excitement.

Well at least I wasn’t late today. I had told Everest what happened before I fell asleep and woke up to find an offer from him to drive me into to WSG so I wouldn’t be late. He's really too nice to just a simple Janitor that is me. I picked up some coffee pods to give to him in thanks when he swung by to pick me up. He declined them at first but eventually accepted it as some form of payment for going out of his way to get me. I’m still surprised he fit into his little compact car as well as he did, with me in there too, but he seemed comfortable enough in there. He told me a lot of interestinggggggg uhhh…Nothing! He told me a lot of interesting nothing about the boxes yesterday! Yep! Nothing at all Dictation machine! Nothing at all…oppf.

Right anyway quickly moving on we showed up to a situation at WSG. The alarms had stopped blaring but the lights were still flashing as Guards were running from the barracks into the facility proper. Everest quickly running off to grab his shield and thunder in after them telling me to be safe as I went to get uniformed. I guess they don’t mind if he wasn’t fully in uniform when he had his shield. But I was told that an Intruder had been seen on the lower levels on the cameras. So the facility was on alert to secure the lower floors so that sneak was got. Thats about all I know as I was kept on the upper levels the entire shift going back over my work a few times. Despite my worry and quiet music as I kept checking behind me my shift was over pretty quick. No Everest but the lights had stopped flashing in warning. And I was pretty quickly shooed off once I had signed out. I only realized as I was getting on the bus that my shift was an hour and a half shorter…

Thankfully the bus is still pretty empty. I hope the Guards and Everest were ok down there.

** Day 9
Infractions and dangling boots

Sure I got a second infraction today but I did the right thing. It was worth it. Everest took me in today again but said nothing in the car ride over besides the fact that he was ok. I didn’t ask. Don’t want us to get into trouble. But the simple explanation was good enough for me. We were let back to our normal routes today and the first half of my shift was normal. A bit more high stress than normal as there were extra Supervisors walking around but I tried to just keep my head down, music loud, and work. It was after the ten minute snarf of food that I found the danger.

I had moved down to D2 and was mopping up the floors before I turned a corner and saw a floating boot. Those yellow semi reflective lines we have on our uniforms really were a great idea to quickly spot fellows in danger. Dropping my mop I quickly ran torward the trash can where the Guard had been stuffed in head first. Reaching in I remembered what I could from that first aid class in school years ago to check for a pulse. There was one. I at first reached for his waist to try and pull the Guard out before I stopped. There may have been injuries that I couldn’t see. Moving them could make it worse. So…I kind of get what the Supervisor wrote me up for now but that doesn’t mean I have to agree with it. So what I did was immediately call for a medical personnel and raise the alarm. Which was promptly triggered. Before I took up my mop and tried to stand as good of a guard as I could around the trashed Guard proper. Their gun was still there but in the moment grabbing it didn’t cross my mind. So there I stood occasionally flicking the mop one way then the other before the Medical staff and Supervisor arrived.

I was written up as I said for not contacting my Supervisor first before raising the alarm. The intruder knew that the base was on alert because of what I did and it would make them harder to spot as they would be extra careful knowing they had been made…Yeah it makes sense now. Still glad I wanted to make sure the Guard was ok first. And they were. They had just been tranq darted. The Intruder thought of me too. Took the dart with them so I wouldn’t need to clean that biological problem up. Knowing me I would prick myself when trying to pick it up. Blegh. Signing off. I need a good sleep after today.

** Day 10
Back to normal!

Finally a normal day again! No Intruders, no flopped Guards. Even my Supervisor seemed to be in a good mood as I signed in with them today! They did have a new sticker on their hat…maybe Everest gave it to them? But Everest had been happily telling me about the weekend hiking trip he was planning for the weekend on the drive to work. Even invited me to go but unfortunately I’ll be cleaning all weekend. But hopefully one time our breaks will line up properly as that sounds likely a lovely break from being inside the entire shift. Something to look forward to for sure. Good reason to keep out of trouble and work good and hard.

I did see some of the more fancy employees today though! The bright yellow shiny suits of our Underwater Operatives. The fish lizards! The Scuba Sliders! The uhhh…Splishy Swishies? Dunno but Underwater Operative sounds so dry. Unlike them! Cause they go in the water! Aaaaa! But err right. They were in full kit too which was very odd. Tanks and spear guns and everything. Including their flippers. It was very hard not to snicker as they flip flop flip flopped down the corridor trying not to fall over. But to their credit they were able to move at a fast walk slapping down the corridor as they moved past me. It sounded like they were in a mood too. Complaining about the broken elevator that was making them have to walk to the moon pool to do their work. I texted Jonas to let him know about the elevator but he fired back that he was already on it and even sent a picture of him thumbs upping next to the number pad for it. Glad he got on that quick.

But time to sign off. Head down and work as best as I can. Glad it was a good simple day today.

**Day 12
Termination of Janitor 00319
This is Supervisor Stelen speaking into the dictation machine that was formerly rented out by Janitor 00319. This will shortly be returned to our technical office for recording and then clearing. Before being sent back to our recruitment office for future pay enticement of new Interns.

Janitor 00319 was given his third and final infraction after he was picked up from the panic room he had taken cover in. He had failed to set up a wet floor sign after he had mopped the right most hallway of C5. Because of this lack of a sign an intruder fell and was incapaicatied. They as well as the Guard they were dragging past behind Janitor 00319 both received light concussions from the fall - which did not alert 00319 due to his above regulation level music volume. The camera will show that it took one minute and twenty four seconds after the incident for 00319 to turn and see the two bodies behind him. He then jumped in fright, almost fell himself, and fled to the floors panic room. Slamming the alarm before contacting me. Another infraction but any past three are not important. As such he was relieved of his identification card, door card, dictation machine, and led to the exit as the Intruder was secured.

Stelen signing out.
