hehe. Yeah, American covers are not pretty. I wish they were, but our covers were like fail compared to the European covers.

No idea, maybe because they don't care here in America and just want to get the job done quickly? Either that or they don't know what art is supposed to look like?! I don't know, all I know is your covers are far superior to ours.

Perhaps, they try to classify it as a children's book in most of our libraries. Which I find hilarious since most of the people I know that read or have read the books are young adults or even older adults (like my neighbor who has to be at least in her fifties). Yes, different illustrators with different visions, I guess. Someone told me that the illustrator here based Harry off her own reflection in the mirror.

oo thats a quite cool idea, to base of ur own reflection . i do illustration myself, and i dnt know anyone else to have done that
. yea, i know loads of older people who have read it too lol. i mean, the first 3 were maybe for a younger generation at first, but as the newer books came out, they became more and more difficult to read

I suppose so. Maybe it's just me, but I thought she was a bit vain for doing that since she knew tons of people would be reading it. Although, Harry looks weird on our books so maybe not so much. Ah, that's cool. I try to draw, but honestly I'm terrible at it. I do keep trying, though. Yeah, I know what you mean. My little sister who's nine couldn't even make it through the fourth book. She was confused and she got into the Series of Unfortunate Events instead.

Ha ha, that's a wonderful title for this deviation. Too bad that book sucked monkey balls.
