Have you ever given up on something so hard you just wanted to flop forward and face plant the ground while still standing on your feet?
Well....average Irkens can do that because they're short and have giant heads XD
All right, so allow me to explain.
I was working on some serious Tak head cannon stuff and suddenly the idea of where to chronologically place the M'lar incident* came about.
Welp, I found myself needing to do math and going by what I THOUGHT was the head cannon's age standards, I came up with a big jumble of crap and could not make sense of Tak's age on Devastis and Dirt.
But now I know a DIFFERENT number and it has me stymied beyond my mental capacity.
Thus, the drawing here remains untouched.
I am just way too autistic for this number shit. GUYS!
If Tak is 16 like Zim in Irken years and was 16 on Devastis, and was ALSO 16 on planet Dirt, but was on Dirt for 50 earth years, and if Tak is thus 159 in Earth years, and 159 divided by 16 = 9.9375, then how -- FORGET IT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EVEN ASK THE QUESTION ANYMORE!
IDR WHAT THE QUESTION EVEN IS!
I guess I just want to know how these numbers all play out and make sense.
I need help ;__;
And chances are i'm missing something or over looked something or added something up wrong.

I thought each Irken year is 10 Earth years, so 50 years would be 5 years, and 70 years would be 7. I think Jhonen even confirmed this, saying Zim is about 160 Earth years, meaning he's 16 in Irken years. I'm guessing Tak has to wait 7 Irken years to retake the test, which isn't that long to them but REALLY long to us. I guess.

Also, if we were to assume that earth was at least 1 light year from planet dirt, and she traveled to earth at 99% the speed of light (the speed at which she only feel 159 earth days pass), she would be only 159 days older, though Zim would have been on earth for around 1 whole year as she traveled. This is assuming she only needed to move 1 light year. The effect stacks as time goes on. Try calculating that into there!

Haha, well. It gets weirder when we find out that the closest star system to earth is Proxima Centauri, about 4 lightyears away.
And since space is so huge, if the sun were to suddenly explode, we would have no idea until about 8 minutes later.

Well, I thought Zim was 20 Irken years old, but OK, if both him and Tak are 16 Irken years, then maybe it isn't so hard:
Tak's age when she's gets to Devastis (Let's say is 16) + 16 years there + 16 in Dirt = 48 "space" years, so maybe Irken ones are formed by taking them in groups of three, which would explain why Tak is 16 (48/3 = 16)
If in Dirt her 16 "space" years were 50 earth years, then each "space" year are 3.13 Earth years (50/16)
So, if Tak has 48 "space" years, her Earth age is 150.24. Maybe the remaining 9 is because Tak was older when she got to Devastis.
